They'd be like chicken eggs but proportional to your size. It just happens regardless of if you're planning to eat them or not. Taste would be very similar to chicken eggs.

Proportional to size.... I'm ~36x the mass of a chicken (2.5/90 kg), so my eggs would be something like 2 .3 kg per egg. If the shell was 8% of the mass, it's a LOT of egg holy crap.

Um idk, I guess I would be pretty hungry if I laid a giant egg every day

I mean chickens (and other egg laying animals) will eat their own eggs to recuperate the energy, so it certainly seems like the smart thing to do :3. I mean an egg of that size every day would really require you to increase intake of both calories and various minerals

Putting egg shells into chicken feed is a good way to recycle that calcium. But you gotta crush them first cause chickens are stupid as hell and if they learn that their eggs are edible they'll just eat them right away.

They don’t generally come from there, but given the choice… I’d go with ass every time.

Why is ass the better choice? Genuinely curious.

My thinking is that a vagina is way more stretchy and could handle an egg that big a lot better than the rectum would. And no risk of hemorrhoids vaginally afaik.

If I'm not reproducing I need to re-absorb all that protein somehow. There's a reason so many mammals eat the afterbirth aka the placenta.

Eat the eggs...? That seems like a waste. I mean, sure, for an occasional snack but I'd wait until the mini-me hatched and have a succulent meal later. If you're laying one every day and were patient you could feed an army. Which I would have because I'd only eat every other off-spring and the others would be the foundation of the new Imperial order.

It's hard to picture, as a real human who grew up eating eggs and not laying them. Since the human race has always faced the threat of starvation, I expect the cultural norm would have developed a long time ago that eating your own eggs is perfectly natural and normal. A taboo against eating them would be a serious disadvantage during a famine. We would grow up with many cultural influences about the eggs. Religious texts like the bible would no doubt make moral pronouncements many people would follow without question. It might even be a political issue.

I could be wrong but I think Entropy means this is a net loss in nutrients and calories, based on the waste it took to produce the egg. The building-blocks needed to make it were already there and if my body needed it it would've taken them directly so I probably wouldn't...? Unless I was starving, which presumably egg production would also decrease to begin with.

But this reminds me of something.

We have bacteria in our colons that produce bio-available B12 but this is downstream of the absorption point. I remember reading theories that we originally obtained this B12 from unsanitary food and water sources (river, pond water, fecal-matter on foods in wild, etc.) Surprisingly a significant chunk of those who eat meat are also deficient of B12 in the modern age.

Entropy deals with energy. The concept you're looking for is conservation of mass. It does in fact work like that. It's not an unusual practice for humans to eat their placenta after giving birth.

And if you wonder how conservation of energy comes into play here, the total every energy would also remain the same. Usable energy would decrease.

Are they otherwise my potential offspring? I'll say no for now to get around the moral dilemma. Let's say my body just produces a food product and it happens to take the form and flavor of a chicken egg for some reason. I'd definitely try them. Feels like I'd have to do something with them so they aren't pilling up, rotting and filling up landfills. Are other people making these things too? Jesus, what a mess! I guess we could trade to make it a little less weird, but I'm sure capitalism would find some fucked up way to charge us for trading them. Either way feels like a conservation of energy problem. I'm not subsisting on these things. So I guess I'm eating them for fun? Most people will probably end up getting bored about it or have a weird fetish for it. I don't see much of an in between

    No.

Shit no. Chickens that peck at their own eggs have major problems, either psychological/stress or nutritional.

Maybe ask a woman what her period tastes like and after you get kicked in the nuts so hard they bounce off the roof of your mouth, you'll know the flavor of reproductive material one way or another.

Yes, although extremely extremely unlikely from healthy tissue. I encourage you not to eat your own rotting or otherwise damaged flesh, fresh eggs would likely be fine.

I have no cloaca so I wonder which hole I should push an object out of that's around 10% of my body size, and whether it'll be covered in waste from said hole. It may be annoying to fish out of the toilet every time and to clean it but it should feed a person for several days

Would rather stop the process. Your going to use more energy and resources creating them than you get back eathing them. You can't sustain chickens on their eggs.

  • Exactly. Conservation of energy being a thing, this would metabolically be a net loss for me. Even if I ate my own egg every morning, I would still need a consistent source of calcium, magnesium, and phosphorous to keep my bones from turning into styrofoam.

From purely the practical perspective, no. There aren't really times where I need that much egg for anything once scaled up to my size.

I scrolled through the thread real quick and saw this compared to both cum and breast milk. But that’s not what this is. Eggs are what’s left over after the chicken doesn’t get pregnant. They are effectively a menstrual product. So instead of semen or milk, you should be asking yourself if you consume period blood.

Hmm.. so the white is like the amniotic fluid and the yolk is a placenta...
Honestly if it came out as a nicely packaged chunk of nutrient dense meat in protein water I could see a world where they were a delicacy

I mean, it wouldn’t surprise me if some people said yes. There are people/cultures that eat the placenta after a woman gives birth. It’s not far-fetched.

Also, I’d argue that the shell is more like the placenta. Yes to the egg white being amniotic fluid. The yolk is what turns into a chicken.

I imagine if you don't add butter/cheese and skip over the eating them with bacon or sausage they couldn't be to bad for you.

Also if the eggs have cholesterol in them, would that not come from you? I don't know how that chemistry would work out but I'd figure it would be a net loss if it comes out of you, nothing has 100% efficiency.

Chicken eggs are allegedly high in cholesterol. There may be worse offenders but I'm not sure I should eat more of something high in cholesterol that I don't particularly like on top of that.

Not eating them is a net loss of 100%, which is better than any effiecency between 1-100% for the purposes of reducing cholesterol.

People drink milk that they have to steal from another species but if you tell someone that you tried breast milk from a human, you are called weird or gross. I personally wouldn't try it, but i find cow or whatever milk so much worse.
