He's playing 4D chess, he actually helped to get the Democrats elected :) by "appearing" to be such a toxic asshole and aligning with the GOP. He had a cunning plan! :)

same here, the noise and environmental devastation. I understand childrens thinking they're fun but audits? Most depressing though is others don't see it like this, that a few bright sparkles are all it takes to distract is more the issue

WA police said on Wednesday detectives from the family violence investigation squad charged the Perth woman with one count of aggravated stalking with intent to intimidate and one count of demanding property by written threats, commonly known as extortion.

    WTF ?

WA police will allege the woman is a former partner of Steele-John

Steele-John did not attend parliament last week after a group of Greens members sent a three-page letter to the Greens leader, David Shoebridge, urging an investigation into allegations that Steele-John had acted inappropriately towards women between 2017 and 2025.

Is the former to do with the latter or are they separate ? anyone have any more info ?

The ocean currents are changing, with major implications for climate around the world. Yet our new article published in Nature Sustainability suggests most governments are not preparing for this possibility. Of 91 national adaptation plans submitted to the U.N. climate convention, only two even mention that key Atlantic current, and neither sets out concrete action in response to its possible collapse.

the skin over the lump then dies, turns black and eventually becomes an open sore that, if untreated, grows.

This is a typical case of Buruli ulcer, a condition that until recently was primarily found in West Africa.

Victoria is now considered the Buruli ulcer centre of the world, with a record 426 confirmed cases last year.

It is also found in other parts of Australia: pockets of coastal Queensland, where it is sometimes called Daintree ulcer, and around Darwin.

Buruli ulcer is caused by the microbe Mycobacterium ulcerans

It can be transmitted to humans via mosquitoes, so ulcers usually appear in areas near bites, such as on arms and legs.

    wtf !!!!

While mosquitoes are a main source of Buruli ulcers, they are not the only one.

Brushtail and ringtail possums are also known to get infected, and can develop nasty ulcers on their paws, face and tail.

    possums !!!!

Once again, Australia’s flying-foxes are in trouble.

Wildlife carers have been overwhelmed by large numbers of distressed animals needing care. Banana and berry growers are reporting crop damage and sightings of weakened bats. New South Wales and eastern Victoria are the areas currently affected. Grey-headed flying-foxes seem to be the worst affected species.

The most likely cause is a food shortage. Australia had a very warm winter, which may have changed the flowering patterns of some trees and led to a nectar shortage. This isn’t yet confirmed, as investigations are continuing.
