The trouble with the vote was they've now painted a huge target on themselves for the right-wing media that conflate Zionism with Judaism itself.

The vote hasn't actually achieved anything positive, but has definitely made the party significantly less attractive to the casual voter.

They got way too ambitious. Not only did they require a 1-state solution (not even Hamas go that far) but they also mandated that whatever solution would only be valid if ratified by a vote by… the members of the Green Party of England and Wales. Then theres the slight embarrassment that the person they chose to formally present the motion at congress is an unapologetic and vocal supporter of a convicted Al-Quaeda member currently serving time at His Majesty’s Pleasure for terrorism offences.
