especially after the recent ill-advised vote on Zionism.

They really shat the bed. Its not like they were in government and had power to change laws or anything. It was never gonna improve things for Palestinians. It showed them up as a bunch of morons and I wouldn't be surprised if Polanski walks of his own volition.

I find this really really fucking chilling. I was a big fan of his right from his early days. His hypersexuality was part of his schtick. He didnt hide it. The signs were always right there but fuck me did I realise what I was looking at. It was so obvious.

Its been said that (in the industry) 'everyone knew'. I feel like other media personalities covered him in a "oh Russell, you're terrible!" kind of way. I even remember a celebrity (think it was Davina McCall) on TV explaining that he was like that cos he replaced his heroin addiction with a sex addiction. She worked with him for years, she must've known!!

Its chilling because he's not Rolf Harris or Jimmy Saville, I witnessed his career in its entirety.

I hope the fucker rots in prison.

What opinions do you hold about celebrities that would get you cancelled or at least severely flamed?

    For example - mine:

    • I find Chappell Roan abrasive, don't rate her talent and plain just don't like her
    • I applaud Pedro Pascal for his progressiveness but I find his relationship with his sister Lux to be a bit creepy
    • I don't think Zendaya is that pretty or talented and don't get why everyone adores her?
    • Andrew Scott's forehead is so distracting I don't enjoy watching him in films

I'm sorry I know I'm a terrible person, but in the spirit of solidarity please share and help me feel like less of a freak?

So my thinking here is this: she was sentenced to death, she received her punishment (failed execution), sentence can be considered complete?

I dont know much about US/Tennessee law but it would seem that she is in uncharted territory - having survived execution - and is a bit of a headache for the legal system? Are there any other cases like this and what happened?

My thinking is very liberal/European (I dont support capital punishment anyway) but providing she is no longer a risk to society - just release her. If it can be proved she is a risk, transfer her to a low security prison?

    FYI: Christa Pike

I may or may not have splurged on a 128GB AMD Ryzen AI Max 395 (strix halo) system for 'AI stuff' (told you I was a noob).

I've been running Ubuntu on it with the AMD drivers (think its ROCm?), ollama and seems to be working fine.

An LLM told me to change the RAM/VRAM ratio to 50:50 (so 64GB for the CPU, 64GB for the GPU). I dunno if that was correct, seems like a waste tbh. Feels like I could give the GPU more resources and run bigger models.

I've read about Lemonade being better than Ollama on strix halo? Also, I realised that I might not be using the NPU as extra work is required to get that up and running.

I'm looking for advice from users on the same hardware. What OS are you using? How do you have the RAM/VRAM ratio configured? What's your stack? That sorta thing.

PS - If my wife asks, the machine only cost like £250 and is a second-hand floor model.
