Long term, have a set of ideals for what you want out of life. Your list will be different than others and that is ok.

Short term, identify the costs of the decision. Include opportunity costs for making different decisions. Try to frame the decision, including keeping the status quo, as a cost you are paying for a benefit.

Also, try to have an idea on the overall cost of making the decision is. A lot of people get into analysis paralysis because they try to make the best decision when the time and effort in making the best decision is most costly than making a good decision.

I've been in enough to see that there isn't much air movement at all, usually made worse as there is a door to the stall with an undersized louver or no louver at all.

It may be a code requirement now, but I've seen a lot of places where it either isn't working or isn't there.

The issue isn't creating the tools, but making them easy enough for mass adoption. Big tech got big, not because they had the best tools, but because they made sure that anyone could use them in a way a lot of open source tools aren't.

If you have access to a hot pot or oven, braising your own meat will be cheaper than cold cuts. Pork, whole chickens, and parts of turkey will be cheaper by the pound than their equivalent meat as a cold cut.

I'm not surprised Johnson is stepping back. He only got elected as a deep compromise due to a thin majority and several failed ballots. The very special circumstance that got him elected is gone.
