I have a similar picture I took as my phones background. Well, more similar in feeling subject matter than actual content...
Did you find the four-leafed clover?

if I couldn't handle killing and gutting an animal I shouldn't be eating meat
I had this exact line of thinking. But for me that means I don't eat meat anymore. Killing really turns my stomach, and I don't actually need meat to be healthy.
But I love hiking and camping, I just bring my own food instead of a gun or fishing pole.
Some cats like it and some only allow it, but it's very common that they prefer not to have our faces in their faces like that.
The cat headbutting you on the chin or nose or whatever is fine, but returning the favour (with or without kisses) is a different thing entirely. It has to be their choice to get in our face, not the other way around.
My guess is that we have such large faces with such large eyes and mouths that it triggers some built in discomfort when they're not prepared for it to come up so close from above, like some large flying predator... or maybe it's the smell of human mouths that becomes overwhelming.
Or maybe they consider themselves the adult in the house and will not be groomed by us slobbering babies.
Or maybe they're just divas who need everything on their terms at all times.
Either way, I will still kiss them on the head... but I'll hold off until I've gotten enough cuddles to last me a while, knowing they might flee.
Perhaps kissing their cheek or chin is more acceptable?
Oh right.. the secret third option! My bad
Why is ass the better choice? Genuinely curious.
My thinking is that a vagina is way more stretchy and could handle an egg that big a lot better than the rectum would. And no risk of hemorrhoids vaginally afaik.
Thank you, I appreciate it!
That was a lovely read.
The words are so full of contentment and joy and peace that you almost don't notice the pain underneath, the past experiences, which made such simple things extraordinary. Almost missing that while reading helps illustrate emotionally as well as verbally the surprising lack of pain you felt that day.
I love that you're able to celebrate a good day without worrying about the bad days. And I think a lot of people can relate, whether they're held back by physical or emotional pain.
I've been struggling with a touch of despair lately, and forgotten to elevate the good things, but I'll carry this with me into tomorrow - and I think tomorrow will be a better day for it.
Absolutely, I'd love to read it!
The little poem elevated this post so much, it's perfect. Well done!
That's good to hear!
I can speak on donating, but Ihave some thoughtson this
to reply "don't worry, I'll be fine" and placate her
To me that reply sounds more dismissive than reassuring, and it would not placate any worry wart in my life. I would focus my reply on the concerns raised. It wouldn't have to be a long message since it seems she mostly wants to speak her mind and not necessarily have a conversation or anything productive come if it more than expressing herself.
I personally would reply something like: "I understand it's scary for you to think about this surgery. Children should never outlive their parents, which means you have to deal with that losing me at some point, but it won't be for many years yet. 'What if's are indeed scary, but I have made my decision. If any 'what if' arrives we can deal with it then, instead of worrying already about ten of them that may never happen.
I wonder why you feel resentment and anger towards Kevin and not towards me, when I am the one making this decision and creating this worry in you. Are you perhaps redirecting your feelings from me towards a safer outside party? Something to consider in your next therapy session perhaps. I hope you know ots safe to be angry with me, even when youre scared of losing me.
I love you, and I would not risk doing this procedure if I thought it would shorten the time we have together in any way."
But that's how I would feel.
I would also quietly get my affairs in order, even though I really don't think it's a risky procedure. Prepared, not paranoid. And it never hurts to have ordered affairs - you might be hit by a car on the way to surgery.
Nice!
I bring a special cloth (made to dry off dogs) to wipe down the tent before packing it up. It's super absorbent and I even cut it in two so I can keep one half with my camping gear and the other around the house. I can wipe the whole tent with just wringing it out a few times after full on rain, just for dew you it may even be sufficient with only a super absorbent (scandinavian) dish cloth. Unintuitively you ought to wet and wring those out first to make them more absorbent, that's not necessary with my dog cloth.
