Is there more context because that's honestly the most normal thing I've seen from him.

If he's ignoring the kid 24/7 sure, but the kid does need to learn to entertain themselves too. You don't always have to entertain them. And sometimes kids just want to climb around, you just kinda learn when they actually need someone and when they're just being a kid.

He sent this to Grimes back when they were fighting publicly a few years back and she claimed he'd kidnapped them or something like that. Anyways, you see the other kid passing by him just out of frame. Nah, it comes off as an irresponsible d-bag when he does it. Considering he doesn't see them very often as it is and that this was sent ti taunt Grimes cause he hadn't returned them by the end of his arranged visitations.

Okay, see, the fact this was used to taunt Grimes is important context I didn't have. I don't follow him at all, I know nothing about what kids he sees and how often (other than his daughter coming out as trans and him fuming about it).

All I saw was a kid climbing on his dad with no audio or anything else. With the added context this immediately slips into dbag behavior to me as you said.

Not the same kid but some more context about how he views his children

St. Clair first met Twitter owner Elon Musk on X, formerly known as Twitter, in 2023 and began exchanging direct messages with him.[4][3] She gave birth to Musk's son in 2024.[11] Musk was not on the child's birth certificate and had been unresponsive to St. Clair's messages despite previously acknowledging paternity in writing. Musk met their son on September 21, 2024, and spent two hours with him, followed by one hour the next day, then met him again for 30 minutes on November 30, 2024, and continued texting St. Clair thereafter.[4]

Friendly warning. I just spend all yesterday arguing with this person and they believe that all 75% of people who ascribe to some form of religion are all part of a dangerous death cult and if you disagree you are automatically an enabler of all religious abuse ever.

But they fucking are. If they keep religion to themselves, that would be fine.

Except they usually go out of their way to spread their mental illness, and get more people killed.

The Heritage foundation has religious roots, and are one of the main drivers of conservatism in USA. Trump and company are following their shopping list.

The cuts to USAID will kill an estimated 25 million people, 3.5 times as much as the hollocaust.

This Includes cultural or christian atheists, and other forms of non theological religion

they usually go out of their way to spread their mental illness

You are thinking of zealots. The definition of zealotism is someone with strong uncompromising views and tries to push that view onto others.

While you may be unfortunate to live in a place where dangerous zealots are centralised they do remain nothing but a load minority worldwide and do not speak for the infinite variety of personal spiritual contemplations that so many people privately have.

I am not gonna continue this discussion again, i was already called a cancer by snoop just for respectfully disagreeing that 4/5of people supposedly are evil incarnate.

And i fully agree, the world would be better off without all the religious doctrines. Not just the abrahamic ones.

What i disagree with is that having any form private religious contemplations means you are immediately part of a death cult and a horrible person.

Same like not being a vegetarian doesn’t mean you hate all animals.

Getting fulfilment from your job doesn’t mean you agree with capitalism.

Life has nuance, so do personal experiences. Not all forms of religions even require you to have literal believes. But some people want to act like their is no alternative then religious zealot and Anti-religious zealot.

There is a huge moment of post religion out there that is helping humans get out of superstition. Atheism is one form of that, but not the only one. Grouping them all together as just as bad as the religious abusers is simply not right.

So long as your flaws are your problems, you choose to live worse for some reason. But it is not just religion, but any kind of magical thinking. Like when someone refuses psych medicine because they believe they are special, and can overpower the disease with willpower.

You put people at risk willingly by making irrational choices, just because they are convenient.

Having said that, I have little issue with Cristian atheism, as it's not an actual religion, but an ideology.

For the majority of people that identify as religious, it is just a philosophy/ideology.

That why i take a stand when people shout that “everyone who identifies as religious is part of a death cult”

I am fortunate not to live in an area where zealots are a majority. I only know a single person who actually believes in anything magical (angels) and she does not think that they can intervent in everyday life.

I do know plenty of people who still identify as religious. My Christian teacher who explained me that the bible is just some old book not to take literal.

Even the priests who baptised my son (atheist parents baptising their kids is very common where i live) does not personify god as a separate Devine entity and the one time i heard him preach it was more pro socialism and warning for social isolation by new technology then anything magical.

I think it’s part of post-theism actually. It’s nothing to be concerned about.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-theism

Its includes things like atheism. Christian atheism and cultural Christians.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultural_Christians

There are similar branches in other religions, some have even be older then Roman Catholicism itself.

When statistically more than half of people who identify as Christian proclaim that experience is entirely personal. I am inclined to belief they are a part of this. All the religious people i know treat the bible just like any other historical book on traditional philosophy. They don’t go to church (outside special occasions), they aren’t followers of anyone but themselves. They are still considered Christians by themselves and those around them.

The pure definition of “Christianity” in a modern context seems to be nothing more then “having doubts that death will be the end of your conscious experience + some abstract feeling of the universe being an everlasting singularity”

Whether people do good or bad, is entirely up to the people.

To compare with communism. I very much oppose the ussr and ccpr, but that doesn’t mean das kapital by marx is a source of evil.

What the bible says doesn’t matter to religious people who don’t follow that bible.

I think it’s because of your protestant cult upbringing, where the pastor’s bible was absolute truth. That’s a particularly conservative strand, one that denies the Vatican any interpretive authority. Its official role is to interpret a closed revelation, one that supposedly ended when the last apostle died, not to speak as God. Not a defence, just factual information.

I’ve told you before that I’ve read about 3 different bibles. Both the catholic school I went to and my atheist parents considered all of them bibles. But to the extremists you’re talking about, all 3 would be condemned as heretical socialist texts that aren’t the bible at all.

A minority doesn’t get to describe a majority. If we allow that, we lose what we stand for, because people who are malicious will always twist it to evil.

On your nazi argument, compare it with communism. The USSR and the CCP both claim to be socialist and both murder any countering voices. The truth is they aren’t communist, because they have a political class separate from the people.

Fascists have always done this. Embrace, extend, extinguish. With Christianity it started with the Romans, who took three centuries of history that had held no centralised or institutional power and narrowed it down. what was left was the version where the afterlife is a threat you hold over people. This is what most resembles “a death cult”, an institutional invention and not the original philosophy. It’s one of the reasons I got interested in the non-roman branches that warned against scripture, though those have been coopted by evil figures plenty of times too.

The roman cult, and especially the protestant branches, have done an insane amount of harm to people over the years. Yet the original philosophies survived all of it, and in a modern context, mostly in Europe, they’ve turned into the non theological and personal forms of Christianity that exist today.

It’s still called Christianity because the original stories use Jesus as the character who is the example of good. A bit like a mask in Greek theatre that tells you what the character stands for.

A lot of the good ideas are still there, not just in bible interpretations but in how people actually experience morality. Helping those in need, showing compassion without judgement, finding some personal peace in a chaotic world. None of that needs an afterlife to work, which is sort of the point.

I prefer “spiritual” myself, but I can’t fault people who are surrounded by likeminded rational people who all call themselves Christians for labelling the extremist an outsider and the church old fashioned.

What really made the difference is that people can now compare translations and read the different materials themselves instead of getting one interpretation from one source.

A minority doesn’t get to describe a majority.

A majority of christians believe the bible, for fuck's sake. Stop pretending my situation is some kind of fluke. Stop running cover for literal death cultists, abusers. Stop choosing death.

Three-quarters of Christians say they believe the Bible is the word of God.

While about four-in-ten Christians (39%) say the Bible’s text is the word of God and should be taken literally, 36% say it should not be interpreted literally or express another or no opinion. A separate 18% of Christians view the Bible as a book written by men, not God.

They hide their stupid beliefs or they take the cowardly approach of trying to leave every possibility open instead of having consistent values.

In 2014, about four-in-ten Christians (42%) said reading the Bible or other religious materials is an essential part of what being Christian means to them personally. An additional 37% say reading the Bible is important but not essential to being a Christian, and 21% say reading the Bible is not an important part of their Christian identity.

So 79% think reading the bible is important. The bible is hate speech. Please stop defending it and the people who consult it for guidance.

    https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2017/04/14/5-facts-on-how-americans-view-the-bible-and-other-religious-texts/

The USSR and the CCP both claim to be socialist and both murder any countering voices. The truth is they aren’t communist, because they have a political class separate from the people.

And you can see through their bullshit because of the evidence. Why can't you do that for christianity? How many tales of parents abusing their children per the bible's explicit instructions do you need to hear before you acknowledge it is a problem? Fuck you for throwing my life away, selfish coward.

what was left was the version where the afterlife is a threat you hold over people.

Again, HAVE YOU READ THE BIBLE? It has been a death cult since Genesis. Yahweh is an authoritarian death god. Christ is yahweh. Christianity is fascist.

It’s still called Christianity because the original stories use Jesus as the character who is the example of good.

This is the problem. Jesus is not good. It is not loving to demand complete submission under threat of eternal punishment. It is not loving to tell deadly lies.

    I prefer “spiritual” myself

How selfish. Try using your brain. Magic isn't real. Souls and spirits are not real.

What really made the difference is that people can now compare translations and read the different materials themselves instead of getting one interpretation from one source.

In every translation, in every version, it's a fucking death cult.

Fuck you for choosing willful ignorance. Fuck you for choosing death for innocent people. The blood on your hands will never come off. The least you could do is stop fucking killing.

Stop pretending that the 75% of humans who are ascribe to some form of religion are all part of a death cult and none of them worth defending when they are attacked with blind hate.

    You are conflating these numbers.

    Using your numbers

42% says its important to them personally to read a form of bible (but we cannot even agree on which texts counts towards the definition of bible, not even Christians agree on that)

37% says its important but not essential to read the bible

There is going to be very strong overlap here, you cannot add these numbers up. Of course it would be weird to call yourself Christian and never touch any of there philosophical texts.

Only 39% (which is like the exact number of the protestant branch which yeah deserves pretty much all you are throwing out here) Claims the philosophy is a written by a magical being.

Its a big number but may i remind you that post-theism branches that rejected for example genesis, existed since before Protestant existed, before the roman church was founded.

They are still flow from the same philosophical source. Which is a handful of philosophical myths that describe the same story but also don’t agree with each-other. (At least one of them believed Jesus was a the human son of Joseph)

My first comment to you was to clarify that the bible and Christianity are an entire umbrella of different works, beliefs and ideas. You cannot pick one and claim it speaks for all of them. Not even the church agrees on it.

Like i said i have read multiple but you would not consider them bibles because they do not glorify death in any shape or form. The one i found most influential did not even mention the afterlife. It was just about a cool guy being trying to do what was right.

I don’t believe in magical thinking, i dont ascribe to doctorine in any shape or form. Whats is selfish about correctly Labeling meditation a form spiritually?

Is that a bad word now too? If this hate is directed at every word that has some vague link to historical dogma i have bad news. But this does feel like arguing sementics (which i admit to often get caught up with, but so do you)

I am not and have never defended a death cults, no one of the many people i know is in a death cult, and it certainly is not what the majority christians are about. Citing a bible that is not the one they read/believe in is not going to change that.

Insulting me for having a nuance that you fail to understand. Calling me a liar while i have been nothing but honest

It's not nuanced, you're defending death cults.

You are lying, and I highlighted each lie.

Contrary to popular belief, lies do not require intent. If someone else told a lie and you repeat it earnestly, I'm still hearing a lie.

It is blind because you refuse to see the difference between a book writen by one philosopher in one time versus one writen by a different philosopher in another time.

It's not blind, because I see the text of the bible explicitly commanding abuse. You're pretending it doesn't exist, that it doesn't cause harm, while people are dying as a result of others' belief in it.

There is no such thing as a singular bible.

We are talking about christianity. The christian bible.

There is no such thing as a singular christian identity (which i am not part of)

YES. THE ONE CHRISTIAN FAITH IS BASED ON.

Depending on which cult thats somewhere between 27 and 80 completely different books.

Your argument is a cherry picked needle in a haystack but go on smart ass i have detached myself from feeling sympathy and am curiouss.

Spirituality isn’t magic your just arguing sementics of terminology you arent mature/sober enough to understand

    Spirits don't exist.

Did you know that having an alcohol dependency does not mean I'm drunk all the time?

You: "I want to be your friend."

Me: "Here is what I am going through and why."

You: "I'm going to immediately use that against you instead of engaging with your points."

You should shut the fuck up.

It has nothing to do with spirits in a modern psychological context

THEN USE A BETTER WORD. Define "spirituality."

Depending on which cult thats somewhere between 27 and 80 completely different books. Your argument is a cherry picked needle in a haystack but go on smart ass i have detached myself from feeling sympathy and am curiouss.

No, shitbag, I did not cherry pick the most popular christian bible in the world, the best-selling book of all time. You are exercising willful ignorance by pretending it does not have significant influence.

Explain to me, what the concept of “christ” is.

I have. "Christ Jesus" means "the messiah Jesus". In abrahamic religions, from judaism to christianity to islam, a messiah is a savior, heavenly sovereign, king of prophets. In judaism, upon which christianity is founded, the messiah is specifically a descendant of king David who will one day unite the tribes of Israel.

Christianity asserts that christ is the son of god and god the son, the same god from Genesis onward. The new testament claims that god sent himself in the form of his son Jesus to die as a sacrifice to atone for the world's sins, because god has demanded blood sacrifices since the old testament. That's the system he chose, for some reason.

    1 John 2:

He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.

    The famous John 3:16:

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

    Luke 9, "die for me":

For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.

Matthew 3 affirms Jesus's special connection with yahweh:

And behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”

Mark 1 emphasizes that Jesus is the messiah:

The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God, as it is written in Isaiah the prophet

    And it echoes Matthew 3:

And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

And it describes Jesus preaching the good news of yahweh the abuser:

Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

What more would you like? Verses about his sacrifice, about sin?

After you are done think about who told you that/gave you the book that explained it and thinking about wether they where a good person/teacher.

That's my point. They were death cultists, and you are directly enabling them by defending christianity. The bible is hate speech. Do not pretend otherwise.

    Spirits don't exist.

    No shit.

There is no single agreed upon definition of spirituality, this one feels all right.

Spirituality is a broad human experience that involves meaning, purpose, and a connection to something larger than oneself

I told you i consider myself spiritual and you instantly went for the attack without even knowing what i mean with. So the gloves are off, The moment you started verbally abusing me again you get tit for tat.

But also your not the first person with this problem that i deal with in life.

Maybe i should start preaching about how alcohol is killing people and everyone who has an occasional sip enables abuse by alcoholics? Or would the irony get lost on you?

On the actual topic of the bible versus.

So they are the “canonical gospels” after all. Those we have discussed do not even agree with eachother and who’s interpretation can change on a whim with a new pope.

Not exactly set in stone on top of a mountain is it (no i dont think those are real either)

That is very much cherry picking because I don’t know any sensible christian who takes those literally.

The people who told you that all christians take this stuff literally you already know are abusive liars. Do not believe them. They dont speak for the personal experience of others.

Stop allowing them to have a hold over you.

I bet the asshole that manipulated your parents is proud of you, their work. Spewing hate and attacking others of your class instead of the capitalist iceholes and ice who are only using religion as a cover and laugh in your face for taking the bait.

Also Stop telling people what to do and how to think you are the definition of a non religious zealot.

There is no single agreed upon definition of spirituality, this one feels all right.

Dumb fuck. THAT'S THE PROBLEM. If it is a real thing, describe it in real terms. My father believes the christian bible because it "feels right" despite evidence to the contrary.

STOP NORMALIZING MAGICAL THINKING, YOU ARE KILLING PEOPLE.

Spirituality is a broad human experience that involves meaning, purpose, and a connection to something larger than oneself

Bootlicking? "Larger" how? It's meaningless bullshit because you want to feel special. You don't need that.

I told you i consider myself spiritual and you instantly went for the attack without even knowing what i mean with.

Apparently I did know what you mean, your definition is pathetic.

So the gloves are off, The moment you started verbally abusing me again you get tit for tat.

Your death will be a relief to us all. I attack your arguments. I call you stupid because you reject logic. I call you selfish because you think your imaginary spirituality is worth more than my real life. I call you a coward because you side with the abusers instead of the victims.

Ayybe i should start preaching about how alcohol is killing people and everyone who has an occasional sip enables abuse by alcoholics?

Do it! It's a bigger problem than people realize.

Or would the irony get lost on you?

I acknowledge it's a poison. It's exactly why I'm getting treatment for it.

Again, fuck off with your false equivalences. This is not a game, people are dying.

So they are the “canonical gospels” after all. Those we have discussed do not even agree with eachother and who’s interpretation can change on a whim with a new pope.

    Have. You. Read. The. Text?

Not exactly set in stone on top of a mountain is it (no i dont think those are real either)

Literally was carved into stone at one point, dipshit.

Why are bibles still being printed, sold, and read with practically no changes?

That is very much cherry picking because I don’t know any sensible christian who takes those literally.

Here's what you're missing: no christian is sensible. They all believe in abusive blood magic. Dumbass.

The people who told you that all christians take this stuff literally you already know are abusive liars.

If a person doesn't believe in christ, they should not call themselves christian.

Do not believe them. They dont speak for the personal experience of others.

I don't take people at their word. I examine the evidence.

Belief in christ is harmful. Everyone should do better.

Stop allowing them to have a hold over you.

    STOP DEFENDING THEM.

Do you think I "allowed" myself to be abused? No, I asked my parents not to hit me. They hit me and told me it was good for me until I had to believe it or they'd hurt me even more.

Did I choose a christofascist regime? No, I voted against it. But I was outvoted by a population too stupid to recognize that they're acting against their own best interests. Many of them have been brainwashed by the same book as I was. The bible teaches them hatred as love, submission to authority.

Why are you pretending these connections don't exist?

I bet the asshole that manipulated your parents is proud of you, their work. Spewing hate and attacking others of your class instead of the capitalist iceholes and ice who are only using religion as a cover and laugh in your face for taking the bait.

You're pretending there's one evil voice in their ears. We moved a lot and attended multiple churches. My mother even said, "it's so hard to find a good church." Yet we kept going anyway, because they think a bad church is better than no church.

I have listened to many different men yell at us about sin, hell, and redemption through christ.

It's a bigger problem than you realize.

Also Stop telling people what to do and how to think you are the definition of a non religious zealot.

No. I will continue telling people to do better and why. That is how we save lives, not by rolling over and letting them slaughter us. If you had a spine, you'd join me. Say, wait a second... You're a complete fucking hypocrite. You should "Stop telling people what to do and how to think you are the definition of a non religious zealot". Fuck off.

And I'm not a zealot. I'm a human being trying to help other human beings, and you're in the goddam way. Stop trying to dismiss me with bullshit labels and focus on the truth.

    Your father is moron.

    Correct.

What you don't seem to realize, and what our previous presidential election has proved, is that the United States is a nation of morons by design.

Stop changing the context to something that is not ground in reality.

What do you mean? You're the one doing that by insisting spirituality is a real thing.

I am not the embodiment of magical thinking. I don’t believe in magic.

You do. You believe in something "larger" than you, whatever that means, because it feels good, not because there is any evidence for it.

i am getting convinced that you do because you keep citing some old book like it has magic powers over people.

It has influence over people. Reading and writing is not magic, but it does affect our minds. You're a dipshit for pretending otherwise.

Your arguing against personal experiences of conciousness there is no definition.

What a stupid thing to say.

Consciousness: "the state of being aware of and responsive to one's surroundings"

If you want everyone to have the same thoughts and perspectives then your advocating FOR doctorine.

No, you're the one making it personal.

I want everyone, myself included, to align our beliefs as closely to reality as possible. That is how we make the best choices. That is how we avoid the needless suffering and death caused by magical thinking.

Again you are closer to those you hate then you think. You resemble them.

Stop ignoring the crucial difference: there is evidence for my claims.

I was violently brainwashed from a young age by southern baptists. That doesn't just go away, they broke a human being. I am trying to use my broken pieces to do some good.

Oh your calling for my death now. How mature of you.

You started it. Quit defending death cults.

Maybe You Should stop Reading The Stupid Text That Poisoned Your parents

OTHER PEOPLE ARE READING IT AND USING IT AS JUSTIFICATION TO KILL US ALL, DUMBASS.

I assume to sell to american psychos. I haven’t actually seen a physical bible in at least a decade.

    It's everywhere.

In 2024, Bible sales in the United States alone reached a 21-year high, with 19 million units sold, marking a 12% increase from the previous year. This surge is part of a broader trend where Bible sales have more than doubled since 2019 and have consistently grown by double digits since 2021.

This growth is not limited to the U.S. In the United Kingdom, Bible sales in 2025 were 134% higher than the first tracked year in 2008. Globally, Bibles are estimated to have sold between 5 to 7 billion copies in over 700 languages, cementing their status as the best-selling book of all time.

    https://www.accio.com/business/total-number-of-best-selling-bibles-worldwide

China prints over 100 million Bibles yearly

India saw 20 million Bibles distributed/sold in 2022

    https://wifitalents.com/bible-sales-statistics/

Zealots also claim there helping people.

Which is why I said to quit trying to label and dismiss and focus on the arguments. The closer we all get to reality, the better off we all are. Most religions take people farther from reality, everyone is incentivized to choose whatever flavor of lie feels right to them. It's a source of endless division, and it threatens all life because all life exists in reality.

No doubt painting it all with one brush is reductionist, there are good people in all corners of the world. What I would say is, even the genuinely good actors practicing these faiths are all acting as cover for the monsters, whether they want to or not. The most devout people should rather denounce their faith as to not enable the evil that gets perpetrated in their name.

Of course that won't happen, but I don't know how else we can reconcile with the idea that these faiths are far, far, far, more destructive than productive, just accounting for the few vile wolves in sheep's clothing that are actively working towards the destruction of this planet despite the rest of us.

You stil have not given me any evidence except 2 articles that you responded to a different person that both mention how the official committee of US bishops are condemning ice.

Don’t forget that its not the church or institutional religions i am defending but “quit person with personal spiritual contemplations in their private home” which may disagree with the church, not believe in any god, but is still the majority of people who considers themselves religious.

Evidence that speaks about institutional religions i will simply agree with and does not change the careful nuance of my point. Because there is nothing good there to defend.

According to research for Christians specifically. 56% feel their beliefs are entirely private. We can’t know if they believe in any bible or how they interpret it. We don’t know anything about those people except that they identify under a specific label.

I am willing to read proof that these people are the same evil as the institutions are but if that proof exists i think the bigger problem would be the apparent surveillance and thought police of peoples private mind that is required for that proof.

I assume you mean "quiet" person.

But here's the thing: religion affects beliefs. Beliefs drive our actions. Whether or not that shit comes out verbally, it still affects us all.

But I would not be responding if there was no offense in the first place. Too many times, it does not stay quiet. It comes out loud and aggressive.

I am willing to read proof that these people are the same evil as the institutions are but if that proof exists i think the bigger problem would be the apparent surveillance and thought police of peoples private mind that is required for that proof.

No, we only need to read the bible they get their beliefs from. It's an abuser's handbook. Psychotic. Deadly. Baseless.

If they kept it to themselves and never expressed it in any way, we wouldn't be having this conversation. But they don't, and the bible explicitly tells them to spread the cancer.

the bible explicitly tells them to spread the cancer.

I don’t really know, she has never talked about it. i only know because my partner that the concept of death is the most scary thing to her. Not just herself but anyone she loves dying.

I believe she is agnostic to heaven or the idea of humans going there. I don’t even know if she believes in god, but definitely angels (which is according to my partner who she preys towards)

I think there is a Maria statue somewhere on the upper floor, i am not sure where that ties in.

I think the preyer is more of a contemplation, by asking the angels the right questions you get insight into your own thoughts. I compare it to meditation.

I personally meditate when i am overwhelmed, it’s very beneficial. Though it’s hard to turn into a regular habit.

Meditation is swell. The danger is magical thinking. If she prays as sincerely as possible for things to get better, but they get worse, what does she think? That she has done something wrong?

Belief in angels is delusional. She thinks magical beings influence reality instead of taking the time to understand physical cause and effect.

I don’t think she believes the angels influence the earth. As far as i understand from my partner, she considers the evils of the current age to be very much man made and not something angels can influence. She very much understands cause and effect.

But preying to them does indicate an expectation they can guide one personaly, so I would call that influence again.

But like i said she is the only Christian i know to actually believe in something that literally magical, which we both know is a bunch of nonsense so i am not surprise the logic makes no sense.

Look at your own actions, in context. You know I was abused because people believe the bible, yet you're telling me I'm wrong for criticizing the death cult that hurt me and is hurting us all right now.

It's why I call you stupid. You are not applying reason.

Do they judge others, do they show compassion to strangers..

Compassion is my default, but you lost that when you defended abusers. I'm still waiting for you to stop doing that, yet you continue choosing death for all.

All I've been asking this whole time is:

    Please stop defending my abusers.

More children are being violently brainwashed every day, and you are defending their abusers, too.

I wouldn't do this if it was just about me.

    Please think.

I have some videos on my YouTube channel where I read some bible chapters. Maybe you should take a look. It's worse than you think. I plan on making more.

I know how bad some bibles are, you don’t need to tell me yaweh is the evident bad guy.

But I do need to tell you that christ was yahweh, and that christians believe Jesus was christ.

This is why it is bad from the ground up.

And i need to tell you that one of the 4 gospels that are included in the latest testament specifically says Jesus was the biological son of Joseph and Maria.

The interpretation i have heard about Jesus being god is that the chism was specifically to denounce the god of genesis. Jesus was human and thus god is humans getting to choose their own destiny and studying morality. The romans added the old crap back in but the new philosophy remained.

The gnostic literature very specifically denounced jaweh as the monster and jesus as the a human of knowledge.

And i need to tell you that one of the 4 gospels that are included in the latest testament specifically says Jesus was the biological son of Joseph and Maria.

    Point being?

The lineage of Jesus is described twice, once in Mark and once in Luke. They contradict each other; one claims Joseph is the son of Jacob, one claims Joseph is the son of Heli. Yet both lead back up to Abraham.

Jesus was human and thus god is humans getting to choose their own destiny and studying morality.

That's not what Jesus said in the gospels. He very explicitly commanded submission, obedience, I am the only way, etc.

The romans added the old crap back in but the new philosophy remained.

The bible remains a book of deadly bullshit that many people believe.

The gnostic literature very specifically denounced jaweh as the monster and jesus as the a human of knowledge.

Which gnostic literature? All of it? It's a very broad category of beliefs, yet still insists on magical thinking in seemingly every incarnation.

Jesus himself claimed yahweh was the father to whom we must all submit. Even if one does not believe Jesus was christ, Jesus did. He was a delusional narcissist, a cult leader who got himself and others killed.

The abrahamic faiths are death cults. Christianity is explicit about it. It's baked into the concept of "christ".

Magical thinking is deadly. Superstition is harmful.

Ok, this one came out of left field. Are we flipping the script? interesting.

Gnosiscism does have many branches that are still believing in magic, but they dont all and i dont think they where originally if i interpret the older literature. There is some evidence that they orginate from Plato, doctorine is the cave. Know what i mean?

But more to the point how can you see that this is many branches and ask which one but not see how i have repeatedly asked the same question every single time you mention the bible because truly all religions are like that.

And gnosticism is still a branch of christian Jesus-character philosophy

Jesus does not make claims to be the son of god in every text, most of the texts i grew up with in a catholic school did not mention god.

Sure some did and they helped me lots in understanding that yaweh is the egomaniac cancer and jesus the example of moral acts (still on occasion misused by bad interpretations)

Your referring to the interpretation of christ as dying to take away all sin? But the one time we where told that one it came with a warning that its figurative and does not mean we cant do evil. I do not think anyone sensible still takes that one literal

Ok, this one came out of left field. Are we flipping the script? interesting.

You're the one deflecting. I criticized christianity for being a death cult. You brought up gnosticism as if it's somehow better or somehow erases christianity.

Gnosiscism does have many branches that are still believing in magic, but they dont all and i dont think they where originally if i interpret the older literature.

Why can't we focus on reality instead of scripture?

There is some evidence that they orginate from Plato, doctorine is the cave. Know what i mean?

Then write about that instead of magic, and leave christ out of it completely.

But more to the point how can you see that this is many branches and ask which one but not see how i have repeatedly asked the same question every single time you mention the bible because truly all religions are like that.

Because the many branches of christianity are all based on the same shitty story about an abuser god sending his son to die to save us from his own punishments. IT IS A DEATH CULT.

And gnosticism is still a branch of christian Jesus-character philosophy

    If it's christian, it's a death cult.

If it respects the teachings of Jesus, it's a death cult, because Jesus taught that he is the son of god, that he is christ.

Why are you ignoring what Jesus died for?

Jesus does not make claims to be the son of god in every text, most of the texts i grew up with in a catholic school did not mention god.

The Nicene creed explicitly states Jesus is the son of god.

What do you reckon the pope meant when he said "Jesus reveals the Father to us by involving us in his own relationship with Him"?

Sure some did and they helped me lots in understanding that yaweh is the egomaniac cancer and jesus the example of moral acts (still on occasion misused by bad interpretations)

Someone should've told Jesus. Lying is not moral, please stop sanewashing his claims.

Your referring to the interpretation of christ as dying to take away all sin?

The one most christians believe, yes.

But the one time we where told that one it came with a warning that its figurative and does not mean we cant do evil.

    The one time? LOL.

God was commanding sacrifices since Genesis, including human ones:

He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”

Is this a figurative animal sacrifice? God loves the smell:

Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and took some of every clean animal and some of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And when the Lord smelled the pleasing aroma, the Lord said in his heart, “I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the intention of man's heart is evil from his youth

Why did he make us evil in the first place? That's what we need "salvation" from, the "sinful nature" he created us with.

    Leviticus 17:

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.

    Numbers 29:

It is a day for you to blow the trumpets, and you shall offer a burnt offering, for a pleasing aroma to the Lord: one bull from the herd, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without blemish; also their grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil, three tenths of an ephah for the bull, two tenths for the ram, and one tenth for each of the seven lambs; with one male goat for a sin offering, to make atonement for you

    Now let's get to Jesus.

    Hebrews 9:

Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

    Matthew 26:

For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

    John 1:

The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

As previously mentioned, 1 John 2:

He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world

    Romans 5:

More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

    Ephesians 1:

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace

    Colossians 1:

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

    Revelation 1:

And from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood

I do not think anyone sensible still takes that one literal

Please stop pretending they don't exist. I'm not saying they're sensible. I'm saying there are more death cultists than you realize, and you enable them by pretending their book of bullshit isn't a huge problem.

Can you acknowledge each of these points?

A: yahweh is a death god

B: the bible describes yahweh as loving

C: the bible is perhaps the most widely read book of all time

D: most christians think reading the bible is important

E: our experiences, including what we read, shape our beliefs

F: our beliefs drive our actions

If you can follow that line of logic, you can understand why my parents are getting away with child abuse. There are entire communities that revere the bible, and I had no means of escape.

This same abuse and worse is still happening to others because people like you refuse to hold them accountable. You think the poison is not a problem as long as no one drinks it, but the poison itself contains instructions that say "drink me and shove me down everyone else's throats, too."

Repeat after me: christianity is a death cult.

    Magical thinking is killing us.

If you have questions, ask. I can help you understand if you stop denying reality.

Sure, no problem just dont get upset when my answer don’t match your beliefs.

A: yahweh is a death god

As an insult absolutely, in some interpretations surely.

B: the bible describes yahweh as loving

No, I never got that vibe from any of them. I have heard people claim it though but then used the bible to see how clearly that is not the case. I don’t think those people read the same version.

C: the bible is perhaps the most widely read book of all time

No, because there is no a singular book that is the entire bible, biblical literature as a collection i can believe though but dont know much about asian literature to compare.

D: most christians think reading the bible is important

No because they cant even agree wich text is and is not the bible. They never did

E: our experiences, including what we read, shape our beliefs

Of course. Thats why critical thinking skills are so important.

F: our beliefs drive our actions

For some that may be the case but agnostic beliefs don’t always work that way.

As an insult absolutely, in some interpretations surely.

In every reasonable interpretation. If god exists and is sufficiently powerful, every death is his choice. If god is not powerful enough for us to know he is there, we don't assume he is.

Theism is unreasonable. It's a form of magical thinking.

In the christian bible, which I'll remind you most christians consider to be important, he explicitly demands human sacrifice and commits murders and genocides.

No, I never got that vibe from any of them. I have heard people claim it though but then used the bible to see how clearly that is not the case. I don’t think those people read the same version.

    It's explicit.

What was that John 3:16 verse again?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

    Romans 5:

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

    Zephaniah 3:

The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

    1 John 3:

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

    Psalm 86:

But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

Laughable, considering god's behavior in the old testament. But the book says it's love, and the book says it's true, so stupid people like my parents believe.

    Deuteronomy 7:

Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations

We get a twofer in Ephesians 2:

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ

    And in Jeremiah 31:

The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

    Etc.

No, because there is no a singular book that is the entire bible, biblical literature as a collection i can believe though but dont know much about asian literature to compare.

It's the one called "the christian bible".

    https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/best-selling-book-of-non-fiction

No because they cant even agree wich text is and is not the bible. They never did

You forgot the research I cited before.

A majority of U.S. Christians say the Bible is extremely important or very important in their lives

    https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2025/02/26/importance-of-religion-and-the-bible/

I acknowledge that it also says:

The vast majority of members of historically Black Protestant denominations, evangelical Protestants, and Latter-day Saints say the Bible is extremely or very important in their lives. Fewer than half of mainline Protestants and Catholics say this.

But those protestants and catholics are factually wrong, the bible is the basis for many of their beliefs.

This is one of my points: even if YOU don't think the bible is very important in your life, someone else does, and their actions as a result are impacting your life every day.

Of course. Thats why critical thinking skills are so important.

I agree, which is partly why I find it so frustrating to talk to you. You seem capable, but your blind spots are huge and you reject reality. You pretend it's more moral to tolerate willful ignorance than to correct it.

For some that may be the case but agnostic beliefs don’t always work that way.

Lol. Please think about it. Agnostic beliefs still drive choices, it's ridiculous to claim otherwise.

Do you know any person at all who is completely mindless, no brain, yet still makes choices? I don't. I don't see how it's possible. Our brains process our experiences into beliefs which, combined with other aspects of our biology, result in conscious or subconscious decisions and physical actions.

What do you think prompts human beings to act, if not their beliefs?

I already told you i am no fan of protestants, i am not defending them.

Pressuring your believes onto others and getting angry when they don’t is pretty bad. No matter what the believes entail.

Teach people to think critically and let them form opinions of their own.

I have referenced the following a coulle of time, i still believe that on principle you approve of it. But that the terminology keeps blinding you.

Post-theism is the belief that religions related to, or focus on the worship of a God or deitiesbelongs to a previous stage of human development and, thus, a division of theism vs. atheism is obsolete. It is a variant of nontheism. The term appears in liberal Christianity and post-Christianity.

Pressuring your believes onto others and getting angry when they don’t is pretty bad. No matter what the believes entail.

    Surely you don't believe that.

Example: you see a grown adult taking advantage of a young person in a heinous manner.

That should make you angry enough to intervene.

Now bring it to the conversational level. You chat with someone who reveals they love taking advantage of young people. Do you try to change their minds? Do you get angry when they deny or dismiss the harm they are doing? I do, because I am a human being with empathy.

Teach people to think critically and let them form opinions of their own.

That's what I'm trying to do, but you're still denying that christianity is a death cult.

Post-theism is the belief that religions related to, or focus on the worship of a God or deitiesbelongs to a previous stage of human development and, thus, a division of theism vs. atheism is obsolete. It is a variant of nontheism. The term appears in liberal Christianity and post-Christianity.

But we still have more traditional christians, most of whom believe in god. We still have theists. We still have the concept of "god", ill-defined as it is, necessitating "atheism" as the position of one who does not believe in any god.

a division of theism vs. atheism is obsolete

I wish. Many theists won't shut up about their imaginary friend, and they pretend I'm wrong and deserving of punishment for not accepting their baseless claims.

They are not part of a death-cult. You have no proof that they are and citing a text they condemn is not going to do so.

My stand is that they can’t be lumped in with the people that are disillusioned.

I'm saying that that gif, without any further context, does not immediately scream abuse. You've failed to give any evidence counter, just screamed obscenities.

I've spent quite a bit of time recently taking to teachers and early development specialists and friends with kids trying to avoid the mistakes my conservative "Christian" parents made. One of the common things they've all said is the kid will need time to just be a kid and learn and when they're busy monkeying around is a good time to do your hobbies and recharge.

I've spent 12 hours playing with my friends kids, taking them to a park, pushing on swings, letting them burn off energy and play and explore, and seen them immediately turn around ready to keep going. You're saying parents are expected to just keep going then? Not, say, set limits and boundaries?

You really need to grow up and actually step into the world and live a little instead of being a keyboard warrior if you think screaming and name calling someone actually asking for an explanation is healthy.

To the downvoters: my boomer father was not as into video games as Musk. After coming home from work, my father would sit in the recliner and watch sitcoms on TV. Three's Company. Cheers. MASH. I have clear memories of lying on the carpet in the living room, staying quiet so he could enjoy his shows, because it was some of the only time I could spend with him.

As an adult with the benefit of hindsight, I can confidently assert that I was abused. There was physical abuse, there was mental and emotional abuse, and I was neglected, but in the socially acceptable way where everyone pretends that being a wage slave and choosing to have kids means that a person is entitled to mistreat those kids.

Do better, please. Children deserve better. Thank you.

I'll tell you the same thing I tell my closest friend who was also abused as a child and continues to struggle with it to this day.

You had a shit childhood. We all get it. It sucks and it shouldn't have happened and it shouldn't happen to any child but it does and it sucks and the world sucks for letting it happen. But it happened in the past. You can't continue letting the past control your present and your future. You have to take accountability for yourself and your own actions.

My father did the same thing as yours which is very common for his generation and specifically British men. Come home. Plop on couch. Watch TV. I played Lego on the carpet and watched what my father watched. That in and of itself was not child abuse.

This is why you're getting negative votes and responses.

If you have access to it, please consider therapy.

Listen carefully. I did not choose to be abused; in fact, I specifically requested not to. But it happened. It is physically a part of me. I can't pretend it away. Please stop blaming the victims.

That in and of itself was not child abuse.

Yes it was, and I'm sorry it happened to you. You deserved better.

This is why you're getting negative votes and responses.

Because people aren't using their brains. Because it's easier to continue normalizing abuse than to break the cycle.

Wow... This says a lot coming from you.

I've seen numerous conversations where you're the person being down voted and seemingly on the wrong side of things. I sometimes attribute it to you living up to the expectations of your display name.

I may not always agree with you, but today I've learned that you're at least a person that is able to be reasoned with.

Defending child abuse is not reasonable.

I don't get where you get defending child abuse from.

    Get some help, seriously.

Putting the blame on me when I asked my parents not to hit me. Assuming I'm not getting help. Pretending that my anger is unjustified or that my arguments don't hold up.

If my arguments don't hold up, argue back with evidence. Don't just attack me. I was abused because people normalize the mistreatment of children. No one is holding my parents or other abusers like them accountable. If you knew the suffering you are enabling, you wouldn't do it.

Bro, when I found out someone in our Discord server was in my home country, I personally went to the cops to report her parents, and got told I watch too much sci-fi and to bring more details next time, and was laughed out of the station.

Then why are you telling me to get help? It sounds like you understand how bad it is, how much abuse has been normalized, how victims are erased and abusers are protected. Everyone should be calling out Musk's shitty behavior, not attacking me for doing so.

Because at the smallest disagreement, you are lumping strangers into the same category as your former abusers, going off, and instantly accusing them of being pro-child abuse, creating endless enemies, and making your life harder.

    This is caused by trauma.

You have done this repeatedly in more than one place. You are turning yourself into a meme needlessly.

Because at the smallest disagreement, you are lumping strangers into the same category as your former abusers, going off, and instantly accusing them of being pro-child abuse, creating endless enemies, and making your life harder.

Disagreement with reality is the problem. Stop pretending it's personal. I didn't choose my abuse. My parents chose to accept claims without evidence and chose to harm their children as a result.

Did you watch my video about my little brother getting arrested for threatening mass violence? It's not just me. He called it a "christ-damned promise."

    This is caused by trauma.

Don't use my trauma to deflect valid criticism, shitbag. All that does is enable this same trauma to happen to others, which is exactly what I am trying to prevent.

You have done this repeatedly in more than one place. You are turning yourself into a meme needlessly.

It's not needless. I need more people to be more reasonable. Otherwise, life is not worth living. We are being slaughtered and you're telling me not to fight back.

    Get out.

Look, most people here hate Elon Musk same as you, most do not support child abuse, you are being needlessly inflammatory and turning away allies.

    Look at this comment thread.

Gif shows Musk neglecting his child.

    Commenter defends child abuse.

I call them out for it.

I get showered in downvotes and denial, enabling more child abuse.

    I'm not inflammatory. I didn't start this.

Commenter said that there are legitimate reasons to ignore a child.

Iirc, they also said that this is not what is happening here, and that Elon Musk is just a shitty father.

They are just trying to be smart by going "Uhm, well achthualy".

Nice to know that I am known for being wrong on Lemmy 😣

But I got my hands on Concerta, and would rather be the next Unidan someday.

It's cool. I have never held any ill towards you. And honestly thought it was a bit at first. And honestly, the more recent stuff I've seen are challenges on differencing principles.

Hope the Concerta works for you.

The only reason I need help in the first place is because shitbags like you keep blaming the victims and normalizing child abuse.

I have therapy tomorrow. It doesn't change what my parents did.

If this is you with a therapist then you either need to stop and actually listen to them (which you've shown here an extreme incapability of listening to others) and do the work, or you need a better therapist.

Or I was broken beyond repair. Are you a therapist? You don't know what you're talking about.

Please, please, please show your therapist this entire message chain and ask them their opinion then.

Not a bad idea, I'll try to remember next week. Today we set small but relevant goals, potentially attainable ones, like exercising more and eating healthier. I have an alcohol dependency because my parents abused me before I could even think. Everything is suffering and life has never been worth living. So it's difficult for me to commit to recovery.
