Spirituality isn’t magic your just arguing sementics of terminology you arent mature/sober enough to understand
Spirits don't exist.
Did you know that having an alcohol dependency does not mean I'm drunk all the time?
You: "I want to be your friend."
Me: "Here is what I am going through and why."
You: "I'm going to immediately use that against you instead of engaging with your points."
You should shut the fuck up.
It has nothing to do with spirits in a modern psychological context
THEN USE A BETTER WORD. Define "spirituality."
Depending on which cult thats somewhere between 27 and 80 completely different books.
Your argument is a cherry picked needle in a haystack but go on smart ass i have detached myself from feeling sympathy and am curiouss.
No, shitbag, I did not cherry pick the most popular christian bible in the world, the best-selling book of all time. You are exercising willful ignorance by pretending it does not have significant influence.
Explain to me, what the concept of “christ” is.
I have. "Christ Jesus" means "the messiah Jesus". In abrahamic religions, from judaism to christianity to islam, a messiah is a savior, heavenly sovereign, king of prophets. In judaism, upon which christianity is founded, the messiah is specifically a descendant of king David who will one day unite the tribes of Israel.
Christianity asserts that christ is the son of god and god the son, the same god from Genesis onward. The new testament claims that god sent himself in the form of his son Jesus to die as a sacrifice to atone for the world's sins, because god has demanded blood sacrifices since the old testament. That's the system he chose, for some reason.
1 John 2:
He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
The famous John 3:16:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Luke 9, "die for me":
For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
Matthew 3 affirms Jesus's special connection with yahweh:
And behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
Mark 1 emphasizes that Jesus is the messiah:
The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God, as it is written in Isaiah the prophet
And it echoes Matthew 3:
And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”
And it describes Jesus preaching the good news of yahweh the abuser:
Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
What more would you like? Verses about his sacrifice, about sin?
After you are done think about who told you that/gave you the book that explained it and thinking about wether they where a good person/teacher.
That's my point. They were death cultists, and you are directly enabling them by defending christianity. The bible is hate speech. Do not pretend otherwise.
