    How is F*CK even pronounced?

Will it still work if I yell Fuck instead?

Any vowel is permitted - so fack, feck, fick, fock, fuck and controversially fyck are all valid.

[Edit] International readers should feel free to say fåck, fæck, féck, fîck, fõck, fœck, fück etc

I wonder if it's really the swearing. It would be interesting to compare to nonverbal grunting or groaning around the same intensity. Something similarly emotive and forceful but without the underlying language meaning.

I would hope the 'neutral word' was said at the same volume/rate/tone. Otherwise, yeah, it would definitely be a factor. Just like we can make ourselves angry with our thoughts, there must be a large difference in adrenaline released depending on how you emote.

This is like a special moveset of self-buffs for a brawny no-magic character in a JRPG

Imagine the jar you can't open is the swear jar and you yell out FUCK and put a dollar through the slot and try to open it and then yell FUUUUUUCK and then put in another dollar...

The payoff will be HUGE, especially as you keep adding 10% grip strength with every swear.

Assuming an initial grip strength of 100kg[0]:

    • After 10 swears, you've more than doubled your initial strength (100 * (1.1^10) kg = 260kg)
    • After 20 swears, you're gripping a grand piano
    • After 50 swears, you're gripping a fully grown adult African elephant
    • After 100 swears, you're gripping the Statue of Liberty
    • After 500 swears, you're gripping the planet Mercury

I remember a Mythbusters episode where they proved that cursing also helps alleviate pain.

So it boosts STR, does it also boost INT? Maybe it debuffs WIS?

Also exhale just as you do it. 👍 Learned that the other day from that maths professor whose name escapes me just now. Redhead, adorable, red nails always. YouTube, Instagram, she's on all of it.

It's part of ki. Uniting your breath and your movements is actually huge - the other part is moving your muscle groups in unison

The two things combined give you an absurd effective strength multiplier

Swears are MMORPG buffing spells. Let them all rip simultaneously for burst and maximize jar DPS.

I find that Yosemite Sam-style incoherent muttering of curses throughout the pickle-jar opening helps a lot.

So swearing is the natural human booster and it is scientifically demonstrated?

But wait, what if you swear for ten seconds ahead and also every 5 seconds during the task? That's almost a 20% improvement!
