Looking at my nearest grocery store:
Ground beef: $6/pound
Liver: $8/pound
How is this supposed to help?

‘Let them eat liver.’
I’m so sick of this disgusting Boomer-coded ‘suck it up kids’ type of patronizing bullshit coming from these people.
How about actually improving the lives of those you represent (your actual fucking job) instead?
It's less about him being born between certain years and more about being part of the Epstein class. Not all boomers have that many resources, either.
His advice to opt for low-grade meat, however...I'm not sure if that's a consequence of his delusions about needing to have animal flesh in the diet or his complete lack of care for others. Possibly both.
If he had instead suggested eating less meat and subbing in things like rice and beans (especially buying and storing dried beans) to help stretch the budget, it would have at least been a bit more fact-based, especially when you consider the long-term costs of eating harmful things like meat.
Subbing in shitty cuts of meat, especially questionable things like liver....JFC. I realize even telling others to eat rice and beans is going to come off as uncaring and out of touch for someone as rich as himself, even if it's true, but telling them to eat crappy meat? Just....wow.

Oh, that's definitely not his job.
I suggest we eat billionaires to gain their powers
Billionaires have livers...
I think... Maybe.... Wait..... Wait ... Wait .... I'm getting an idea ... Hold on.... I GOT IT.
we feed billionaires their own livers!
"We're going to keep raising the prices of essentials, it's on you to make adjustments. Don't be lazy and entitled."
Back when Americans still were almost 100% operating under the stupid protein myths (these days, I think it is a least a little better, but there has been a huge rise in marketing protein to people as if they aren't getting enough, lol, so I really don't know if people have a better grasp of nutrition now or not, even with easily-available information sources now online. Back then, spotting a vegetarian in the wild outside of major metro areas, anyway, was like spotting Bigfoot and the very concept of not eating meat was something that made most people's brains short out.) and virtually everyone thought you needed a big portion of some meat on your plate... my boomer parents were trying to scrape by, they would have liver about once or twice a week to make ends meet.
It wasn't until a bit later when they read a bit more about vegetarianism that they realized they could easily sub in things like beans/rice to round out meals and not only was it far safer and a lot less disgusting, it was cheaper and had an incredibly long shelf life. And they didn't have to worry about the family being malnourished or anything.
fuck RFK, but if you haven't tried it, liver is good, at least try pate. that being said, fuck RFK and his brain worm ideas
There is no brain worm. That was made up by RFK Jr in court with no medical evidence provided to justify giving no alimony to his ex wife. He them blackballed her in their small community so she had to beg. She eventually committed suicide.
He then stole her body from here family to bury it on the Kennedy plot.
Fried chicken livers 😋
He doesn't even realize the choice isn't steak or liver, it's store brand pink slime hamburgers or nothing.
I would suggest that people eat RFK instead.
Bro, he gonna be like Oogie Boogie when he dies and the bugs are gonna all scatter. I ain't eating that.
Yuk. Tastes like evil.
At the very least, he could be used as fertilizer.
is woefully out of touch
This is not out of touch, this is laughing directly in your face. Why are you still pretending they don't know what they're doing ? He's buying the porterhouse, with your money.
Porterhouse? Bitch, Im over here unable to buy fucking ground 80/20 chuck because it's doubled in price. I'm stretching chicken breast to last 2 meals! I'm flat out eating less trying to stretch our food budget.
I don't know your situation, your budget, or your ability. But on the off chance this is news: dry beans go a lot farther than chicken, per dollar, and also fill you up.I think lentils go even farther.
I hate being hungry. So I've found cheaper-by-volume options for things.
You're not wrong but sometimes I crave something more than rice and beans.
I was being a bit dramatic on the post. I'm still able to buy meat proteins but I just budget it out better now. I don't get to buy beef nearly as much as I used to, fish too. My main meats are now chicken and pork since they are most cost effective. I am eating less, but tbh, it's better portion control anyway.
Unfortunately I hate beans, always have, so I bulk out mostly with rice and grains. Appreciate the shout out though, many more worse off than I am who might need the info.

Sure, Junior, let me just omit the porterhouse from the shopping list and see how it affects the monthly budget. Huh, it's the same as before, because we already don't eat that, you fucking pancake.
From my shopping trip today:
This is double (in the case of the bread, more than triple) what they were pre-covid. Junior is a damned moron. I can't get out of the grocery store anymore for less than $75 for the week, and that assumes I already have most of what's needed for this weeks meal plan. More often it's $150-$200 for the week.
I take that back, I could reduce the costs if I was willing to have nothing but rice, beans and gravy. Thankfully, we're not that poor.

Holy jesus. I can't fill a single bag of groceries for less than $75, let alone a whole shop.
Most of our shopping trip this week was low cost items like pasta, rice and canned goods which aren't quite so expensive. The fact we are a two person household also helps keep the overall trip costs down.
I build our grocery list as we notice we need something throughout the week, and then go through it again adding and removing items as I'm planning our meals for the week with our local grocery store's sales flyer guiding what we are having for the week. While shopping, I check the prices on everything in case there is a surprise sale on something we will definitely need. Doing this helped reduce our grocery trips to something manageable and reduce the amount of items that we have to throw out. And I never go to the grocery store hungry because if I do, I won't stick to the list.
Well, at least he didn't suggest road kill like he tended to do, and keep it in his friend's fridge.
Chicken hearts are good but I don't want to try to convince anyone that.
I hope this guy accidentally sits on his shriveled drooping nuts every fucking day, and that it hurts every time and he’s really self conscious about it.
Nothing’s wrong with eating liver.
Except it's high in cholesterol even when compared to other red meat. It is delicious though.
I only buy chicken when I'm in the states be cause beef of any kind is too expensive.
