Now we understand why Trump didn’t want [the Epstein files] released.

Just a week before the midterm elections, which are already shaping up to be a bloodbath for the GOP, Democrats have dropped a bombshell. “A growing body of evidence demonstrates that Donald Trump was an active participant in Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women during the mid-to-late 1990s,” states a just-released report from the Democrats of the House Judiciary Committee.

Additionally, they claim that Trump has leveraged his FBI and DOJ to cover up the evidence, and have now called for the appointment of a special counsel to investigate any potential wrongdoing.

I, for one, am shocked. I just thought Epstein and Maxwell were two lone pedos with unrelated connections to teen modeling agencies and other known sex predators. Sure, the FBI found 300gb of data which later turned out to be dozens of terabytes, including video, which were later hacked, but the FBI said the data wasn't compromised, so no foul there. It's a shame he and so many of his clients died of totally natural or self-inflicted causes in such a short time afterward. I bet the discovery phase in court would have confirmed that his associates were blameless and that he was just maintaining a 20-40 terabyte collection of porn for personal use. The whole thing was so unrelated and random that they had to move Ghislaine Maxwell to a low-security prison despite her convictions for some of the worst and highest profile felonies in recent history.

But now there's evidence against another person whose name was all over the files and who has also bragged about inappropriate behavior with minors? Consider me shell shocked. Still, having been born yesterday, this is my first real day on earth, so what do I know.

This won't change a thing. Republicans know Trump rapes kids, they've decided that it's not a deal breaker.

When I say "Republicans" I'm not just talking about politicians. Republican voters have all chosen to support pedophilia, rape, and blatant corrupion.

It's actually not even clear what other policies Republican voters support. It's not small government, fiscal responsibility, family values, or law and order. As far as I can tell, they're only the party of pedophiles.

It's a mix of that and their astounding ability to just ignore things or make themselves believe (and/or be convinced by others) It's "fake news".
It wouldn't even matter if videos were released of Trump being in the act of pedophilia, once people like them have made up their minds about something there is nothing that can change that.

    It absolutely will change things

Just not until after Trump, and everyone politically reliant on him, is dead or out of power

Until then the divisive propaganda will continue, and roughly 1/3rd of the population will believe it. Not necessarily because it's actually believable, but because believing Trump did nothing wrong is convenient for them personally

As if the 10.000 (or more) blacked out mentions of trump in the files weren't evidence of his abundant participation...
Why is this all worded so carefully?

No mention ofcourse of how trump's pageant-business was used for and complicit in epstein's crimes.

Dems were just waiting for the news to have maximal political impact when they announce their conclusion. Right before the midterms hopefully moves some voters and also sets them up to impeach if they win.

Yeah… if Republicans lose the midterms, Trump is a lame duck and some Republicans might be ready to break ranks. It’s a long shot, but it’s a chance. Either way, making the conversation in the media about Trump’s Epstein rapes is a good way to control the narrative up to 2028. Whoever the Republican candidates are will be trying to distance themselves from him.

About a third of Repulican senators and all the Democrats would need to vote to remove him. That doesn't seem likely.

The more places Democrats get, the less Republicans you need for the vote.

In the other hand, if the situation is close to 50-50 with Democrats having a very slight majority in both houses, maybe Republicans would be ready for a deal where JD Vance becomes the president and the government will be allowed to successfully pass at least some laws? After all, Vance won't be really much different from Trump, just not supporting the Russia that strongly.

I'm not even sure you could get all democrats to vote to impeach. There will always be enablers like Schumer and Jeffries who say stuff like "now is not the time" and "It'll never work anyway" or "It's not worth the cost."

It wasn't because he's in them 30,000 times? I thought it was because he was in them 30,000 times, and also an adjudicated rapist. There's other reasons they don't want to talk about him being a proven racist? Weird.

1-The justice system works off of proof and evidence, not conjecture or presumption, no matter how likely the odds are (ideally speaking that is, different rules may apply depending on your race)

2-Since the President is also in charge of the DOJ, he has the power to tell them to just drop the issue. Now, a super-majority in Congress can bypass that, but currently that just ain't gonna happen

3-Like someone else pointed out, this headline was not written with people like you and me in mind, but rather people who were/are still hesitant to believe what the rest of us know to be true until they have literally no other option, and even then a large number of them will probably just go full-on into denial mode because they can't handle the idea that they were so wrong about something for so long

  • source

The MSM is complicit, if not a downright accomplice or active participant.

News media in America is completely controlled by literally a handful of very wealthy people who are, if not friends with Trump, then at least close to his circle. MSM delivers the message that those people approved, and nothing more.

Also we should probably coin "MSI" as a term for mainstream internet. Google, Meta, Twitter, Amazon, OpenAI, and yes, even Reddit -- again, handful of very wealthy people who are buddy-buddy with Trump, and we get their curated message.

This was known after the FBI investigated in 2006. Alexander Acosta, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida made a deal with Epstein in 2007 to bury it. This was under Bush. Since then Acosta has gone on to work in the Trump administration. Whatever happens to Trump, Acosta needs to be brought up on charges for using his office to let a mass pedophile ring off the hook. Someone needs to look at his decision making and then try him and put him in prison where he belongs. We've known all about Epstein for 20 years now and very little has been done. But now theres a long list of co-conspirators and they need to be prosecuted.

Trump doesn't care about being implicated in corruption, he's already established even in the legal sense to be a criminal and a rapist. Being implicated for more rape isn't going to make any noticable change. But what does a strong man really fear? Being perceived as weak. Being perceived as less of a man than any other. There is something he's burying that is going to make him look really bad to his base, that a sane person with morals wouldn't realize is that notable but will be completely devastating for a strongman wannabe dictator. I'm so curious what that is mostly for the human psychology aspect of what actually does scare trump and keep him up at night?

    Probably his bisexual nature.

We have watched him: -Talk about Arnold Palmer's cock -Deepthroat a microphone -Talk about how strong and muscular dudes "hurt his hand" when he taps their shoulder. -Touched an athlete's cock -said he checks out guys' asses.

I mean, he is a soft man that covers himself in makeup and just cares about ballrooms and interior decoration. Normal people have always known he is a QUEEN. Ironically, him coming out would devastate the right, while the rest of us would still just hate him because he is a Nazi pedophile rapist war criminal.

Democrats are a bit like Internet Explorer. Slow, painfully behind, only listening to the people's demands when a court orders it to, constantly forcing itself on you when you don't want it, and sometimes it's all you got.

I guess it depends on how you define we in that sentence. If you mean you and I yeah we knew that. If you mean the public as a whole? No unfortunately not. Lot of them are not paying attention.

That's why you have to keep saying it over and over and over again. Keep writing the stories. Keep up the investigation. Put it on the news every single night. You can't rely on something being said once and reaching the General Public. It takes a lot to reach them. You got to pound it into their brains until they know it in their bones.

Some people plug their ears when they hear anything unpleasant. This is extremely unpleasant to read about, so it needs to be repeated over and over again.

I have read about it before, but I still can't really understand it. It is difficult to imagine how something like this happens without ever having been in such a situation. It's a natural defense mechanism to downplay the severity of it in an attempt to create the belief that it can be avoided if it should happen to yourself. That's were victim blaming cones from too. "It won't happen to be because I would have done this instead".

The more detailed descriptions help me better grasp the horror of it and how the victims got lured into the situations.

Yeah, because up until this moment we had no idea that Trump was linked to Epstein.

People are stupid, and unfortunately sometimes political manouvering is a strategic game.

Given the complete lack of consequences for Trump so far, this release timing has a better shot of impacting the elections, thereby having consequences for Trump.
