They know full well they aren't aligned with their voters. They know full well voters don't buy their bullshit. They know full well their presence hurts the party and by extension (in the present moment) democracy. They don't care. They'll cling to power even if they have to burn the whole party down. They're no better than MAGA.

Ha!
Try not to jerk anyone off in the parking lot on your way out.
And we've all been in stinking, poorly kept stalls. They're kind of separate issues.

This. Also, anti-corruption laws for Supreme Court Justices.
Trump will likely still be president during the 2028 election, so an even bigger Dem majority isn't implausible after that. If he croaks, Vance will probably try harder to not rock the boat. I'd expect him to lose a re-election bid but not produce as big a wave in Congress.
Thomas seems to care more about being the longest seated justice than about the wider right wing political project. Alito wants to retire, I think, so he might try to bolt for the exit.

This headline made me realize that "Found dead in a hotel" sounds like they were found dead in their room and probably died of a heart attack or drug overdose, whereas "Found dead at a hotel" makes it sound like they were shot and stuffed in a cleaning supply closet.
The pattern seems plain as day to me: change candidates consistently outperform the polls.
I look forward to not even noticing that I haven't heard her name in over a year.
Half? Hell no. You could maybe argue El-Sayed would have lost the primary without his boost, and we should all be grateful Haley Stevens wasn't the candidate.
Anyone who looks at last night and says "voters want Democrats to work with Republicans" deserves a kick in the groin.
