Edit: Thought about it a bit, the personality disorder actually makes it more of an anime character move.

You don't have to worry about cheese staying fresh, it is one of the least susceptible foods to bacterial contamination. It takes a very long time for mold to form, even in a 140 degree car every day for a week. You might lose some of that delicious cheese sweat in the heat though.
