Let it marinate. Either there's gonna be a data leak or they are simply going to sell the data themselves. AI companies are going to scoop it all up and train their models.

In a few years you can ask the LLM to generate you an accurate image of a reddit mod and we finally will have the definitive answer wether the the memes are all true or not.

So Project Zomboid is a 2.5D (2D sprites, 3D characters) Isometric game. For years people fantasized about it being in the first person perspective. The devs clearly stated that this is impossible on a fundamental engine level. Over the past 2 months people used AI to completely dissect the source code of the game and do the impossible. They created a mod called Project Viewpoint that turned all the 2D assets into 3D models and allowed to play in third and first person perspective.

This is an incredible feat. Imagine somebody would make a mod to freely rotate the camera in Age of Empires 2, a fully sprite driven 2D isometric game.

Further than that, people started to decomplie a lot of other games and scrap them for mechanics and assets. Project Viewpoint has become the driving force for advanced modding. They added the animations and weapons from Escape from Tarkov, the parkour mechanics from Mirrors Edge, the vehicle physics from BeamNG and so on and so on.

Project Zomboid is on it's way to truly become an everything game driven by AI assisted modding.

Even if it seems like the devs are losing control over their own game, for now they did the right thing. They acknowledged the current situation and warned people to be carefull with Javascript based mods that can execute malicious code, while not condoning the development of the modding scene and AI use.

    Here's the devs community post:

Qwen 3.8 is not the smartest cookie when it comes to math. If the math is based on a research paper you can usually chug it in the context and it actually manages to one-shot the solution. But just from code alone it's not smart enough to figure out what the purposes of some matrices are and formulae are. I'd say it's on a junior coder level, it needs to get access to further research to actually understand implementations.

I remember about 2 years ago, the Steam Next Fest was basically of more importance than Christmas for me. Not only did it used to remind me of a time when demo disks were common for PC and Console games back in the day, it also finally made developers take proper demos seriously. What advertising is more honest than to actually let the players experience a snippet of your game. It was awesome?

Fast forward to 2026. The last Steam Next Fest was absolutely overrun with AI slop. I'm not talking some "placeholder" assets. I'm talking AI generated art, AI generated description and some of them looked like they where the first attempt of a local model to one-shot what the "dev" had in mind. The current Next Fest is a little bit tamer. But the last one was literally 90% slop.

In my opinion Steam really needs to have a big fat disclaimer required if any AI assets are present in the current game or promotional material, something akin to the warning that abandoned Early Access games receive.

I have a fairly long commute, so naturally encounter a lot of weirdness on the road. If I had $1 for every truck I see on the way to work, I wouldn't even have to clock in anymore. But one of them stood out amongst the others.
It wasn't the truck itself, but more what was on the truck. I kid you not, it was an OnlyFans truck. Now I know what you're thinking, some guy just put OnlyFans decals on his lifted pickup.
Nuh, uh. This was a 40 ton, full container length semi-truck with a white trailer cover with big blue letters reading "OnlyFans" on the side and back. Even the Mudflaps had it spelled out.
This wasn't for a specific OnlyFans creator, just OnlyFans as a brand itself, which I'm not sure whether it makes it better or worse.
This trailer cover must've been custom made and costs a shitton of money.
I'm not sure about the persons motivation, but I definetly respect the dedication and the execution.

I regularly go about 2 ½ days without making a single audible sound with my voice. Friday through Monday.

I used to talk to myself a bit or sing/hum along while listening to music but I kinda stopped doing that.

The funny thing is, I've recently realizied that the last and first thing I say throughout the weekend are usually the same. I say "Goodbye" to my coworkers on a Friday evening, and then I say "Goodbye" to the cashier near the self checkout at the grocery store where I grab my lunch for the day on a Monday morning. It's sort of ironic that the first thing I say after a long period of time, is something that usually ends a conversation.
