I don't need to be constantly reminded that shit stinks to know it stinks.

Well this post is funny, the other one just annoying

The main difference is that this post is a meme that includes that slop image as part of the meme. In that previous post, that slop image was the entire post.

The title of the post is literally "This is a shitpost" on the shitpost community.

Last I checked, "this is a shitpost" is not synonymous or even remotely close to "I didn't make it, I found it and thought it was laughably bad"

I explained in the comments I didn't make it myself and found this shitty image out in the wild. People still crashed out, even at that comment

Everything I have seen on this site, and especially the shitposting communities, is that a helluva lot of Lemmings don't know what a shitpost is.

It is meant to be low effort. It is meant to derail a topic or incite anger.

AI generated slop is the ultimate shitpost. You can not possibly put less effort into it, and nobody likes it.

Lemmings insist on shoving everything up their ass, no shitpost detection skills at all.

"This is a good shitpost" comment paired with 25%+ downvote ratio is a good indicator of a good shitpost :)

SHITPOSTS?!?!?!?!? IN MY CHRISTIAN SHITPOSTING COMMUNITY?!?!?!?!?!?1?

You post a generated pro-ai image, with zero explanation*, in a vocally anti-ai community. What did you think would happen?

The title is literally "this is a shitpost" in the shitpost community.

And in the comments I explain that I didn't generate this image, and that I'm poking fun at how bad it is.

Users here occasionally see AI-generated shitposts in this community, and the most obvious ones are downvoted. Your AI-generated shitpost was treated just like all the other AI-generated shitposts here.

They are circlejerking idiocy , why get upset. They don’t like you on their self moderated blog moderated by some kid who couldn’t get likes on reddit, boohoo.

Post more ai and enjoy the tears. Nobody despises ai more than failed coders and mediocre artists.

    I hate that fucking cat.

I post so much, I see it often because I don't actively check images apart from squinting at them, and using reverse image look up to check dates - the latter is useless for new memes. I literally learned how to check with zerogpt like a week ago.

I get the sentiment of not wanting AI, honestly. Finding out something is fake after the fact sucks, though and diminishes it. Sometimes a post is still funny after the fact.

It's wild what people are actively faking with AI.

I am all for calling out AI, but for whatever reason, the cats really bother me. To be clear, I have nothing against the funhole art style or anything. But something about the cats in particular is just frustrating, and I can't put my finger on what my problem is with it. I genuinely don't understand my own contradiction here.

I'm also on the same page as you. Why the cat? I think for me it's maybe the way he's illustrated (unlike for you). I realize it's a contradiction, but whatever.

I get why someone may dislike that art style. It's intentionally a bit unsettling, so I understand that someone may not be able to appreciate it. But no, not liking a particular art style doesn't make it a contradiction.

The cat would be less annoying if the image wasn't so fucking huge.

And plastered absolutely everywhere, even on posts where it isn't obvious it's AI. Saw one where I decided to do a reverse image search and saw results from 2018.

If it was @dontbelievethis@sh.itjust.works who commented the cat for a non-AI image, they’ve admitted they were just commenting it randomly on purpose as bait here

Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got. Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.

Wouldn't you like to get away?

    Sometimes you want to go

Where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came. You wanna be where you can see, our troubles are all the same You wanna be where everybody knows Your name.

These folks think they're making some kind of difference with their little Butlerian Jihad on a microscopic social media site.

I'm all for using free AI! It's sucking resources from the bastards.
