About time this hit enterprise.

Been saying the downfall of OpenAI and Anthropic will be local models that can accomplish the same thing without needing a dstacenter worth of GPUs to run.

Plus you have no total token limit on self hosted models. You can let a slop agent run for weeks without ballooning costs or getting rate limited.

And no model censoring, so you can go build that nuclear bomb you always wanted lol.

Both AI giants are already losing a ton of money because their pricing isn't viable for the amount of training they're doing trying to be on top. If they readjust, they're gonna suffocate against much cheaper solutions.

    use Enterprise or Server

Still has the Xbox play firewall rules baked in from home/pro, is only QA tested by the crappy insider hub who only use home/pro, and eats just as many resources as home/pro.

Server meanwhile is still propped up by the futuristic technology of AD straight out of 2003.

Enterprise doesn't even add anything compared to pro aside from like a couple of apps/tools default installed that you can also get on windows education. It's literally just a business licence so that MSFT can charge more for businesses that have a much larger budget.

Well since US elections wrapped up yesterday, I'll go with lemmy.world having the memory of a bacterium and thinking everything is gonna magically get better because dems have control of congress.

"Finally, we have full control of congress due to the absolute dumpsterfire of Trump's second term. Now let's ask the all mighty magic conch shell to determine our actions for the next two years".

" Oh magic conch shell, what should the democrats do with our restored power in government against our tyrannical president?! "

    NOTHING

" The shell has spoken! "

There was a post recently asking about doing hibernate with secure boot + LUKS + TPM on Fedora and it is actually possible and still pretty well supported, but it does mean you have to go through the lengthy setup yourself.

The one real modification you need is to use a kernel patch that sets a flag that allows hibernation images to be loaded in lockdown mode since using LUKS effectively mitigates the issue of image tampering.

Tbh I think its been long overdue as a returning feature because Linux has certainly grown a ton in the Laptop space where the battery save is a huge difference in sleep vs hibernate.

There's literally El-Sayed's DNC AIPAC opponent shooting herself in the face with 30 million dollars of Israeli funds but you're really gonna be out here about to post a 4 paragraph long copypasta about the success of Mao Zedong's superior socialist China, even though it was really Deng Xiaoping that created the success that is modern day China.

This is why people stop taking ml users seriously.

    https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/3029110

IIRC it showed up once before when the app ID was first added, but it had no associated store or news page.

Despite the rammagedon steam machine and probably inevitable steam frame prices, I think this is probably the coolest development Valve has invested into since its basically Waydroid + FEX which removes the dependency on libhoudini/libndk which would make a lot of mobile games playable on PC using ARM translation.

One such proven example being fortnite lol: https://github.com/waydroid/waydroid/issues/2115

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, but there was this really funny handrawn meme of Wayland taking on XOrg/X11 that I'm pretty sure was posted in this community but deleted because its no longer in my saved posts.

Does anyone have a hard copy or the original author?

For more context, Xorg was depicted as a bearded dude sitting in a throne with an XFCE mouse as his pet.

And I think Wayland was maybe Dio or another JoJo character.

Author also made other sketches and linux memes, but I can't remember because it was probably ~2 years ago now.
