"Otto vor dem Gentschenfelde" is one of those old German rural names, that just combines a name with a place. Like maybe a Farmer called Otto had his farm in front of the "Gentschen"-field. Maybe there were a bunch of other Ottos closeby so they had to distinguish.

And then it became a last name for his descendants. While googeling I found an obituary for a guy called Dieter Otto vor dem Gentschenfelde, where Dieter was his first name and Otto was part of his last name.

No cut scene I've ever seen. Likely machinima. Relating to onyxia's deposition of variion wryn from the throne of stormormwind. One of the most annoying things about blizzard with relation to Warcraft. They very rarely told a lot of these stories in the game using cut scenes or at all. They were mentioned in passing or told in external media.

Deadpan IMO is the best kind of humour.

Though I just realised that it's kinda like puns except applying it to phrases and ideas instead of just words with multiple meanings. It's all about the edge cases around communication, pointing out things that are implied, or assuming things that aren't implied, deliberately misidentifying pronouns, switching subject and object of sentences if the structure allows it.

Not that there's anything wrong with puns, it was just an interesting realization.

How is a chat forum a business strategy at ALL?

Wait, right, the whole data harvesting thing. I was already hyperbanned back then but I remember seeing posts in like /r/teenagers, /r/askreddit, I don't know fucking, /r/memes, that were all like "post the most popular childhood toy when you were growing up", "list the 5 cities you have visited the most", "what's the best thing about the city you live in" et c, just obvious attempts at eliciting personal information. Nobody thought anything of it and proceeded to give them tons of info.

Thank you, I now need to go yell at a particularly annoying cloud in my backyard.
