Just a reminder, while they speak of data centers in space, their proposed satellite is actually more like a single server rack in space.
It's always misleading, you can't even trust their choice of words.

Ah, thanks.
Unfortunately I canceled with them, over their incessant nagging for their app and upsell attempts.
Apart from that comment not being a refutation of anything I said:
Since when are Pittsburgh and Chicago in different countries?
"Otto vor dem Gentschenfelde" is one of those old German rural names, that just combines a name with a place. Like maybe a Farmer called Otto had his farm in front of the "Gentschen"-field. Maybe there were a bunch of other Ottos closeby so they had to distinguish.
And then it became a last name for his descendants. While googeling I found an obituary for a guy called Dieter Otto vor dem Gentschenfelde, where Dieter was his first name and Otto was part of his last name.
Doesn't sound like it's about copyright infringement, just contract law.
The studio negotiated at first but then just went ahead without receiving authorization for a reboot from the estate holding that veto right.
That is a convincing argument. I wasn't thinking of wireguard, but it makes sense that it's quite small and focused, being in the kernel.
I'm dealing more with OpenVPN and that can be very annoying, that had me lean in the opposite direction earlier (and lets not even speak of the Cisco crap).
Are you sure the VPN server has the smaller attack surface than the SSH server?
Well yes, but how is the shift calculated. Do they take the numbers from the house election, the senate election, something else, all of the above?
Can someone tell what exactly this displays? Senate? House? Governors? Some form of average of the above?
Can't argue with that. Even as a lefty I have held it in the right hand on occasion.
We know it's not fertilisation, but does anyone know why that really happens? Just a defect in the egg cell?
I wonder about this change:
- ROCM OpenCL is now used over Mesa OpenCL on all non-nvidia images.
Usually I would expect the Mesa stuff to work better and in a more generic way than what one GPU manufacturer makes.
Does anyone have any pointers for the reasoning of the move?
