I surfed a few distros before landing on Debian. It solved (almost) all the issues I had with Linux. Debian for life.
Is it confirmed to be only smart TVs? I have a Sony Bravia from 2014, which I'm very fond of as it has no smart features. I would like to think it isn't spying on me somehow. If it broke, I'm not sure what I'd do. Maybe buy a CRT or something. All TVs are smart these days.
Wouldn't want that malware on my machine. So sick of every online community default to the shithole that is Discord.
How do I get around this then? I still have to disable vpn to comment.
I go by Jerma985's example. Outside coffee can be extra but homemade coffee is black.
As far as I know my VPN doesn't use Tor but I'm still blocked. It does keep me from commenting 99% of the time, which I've concluded is a good thing, it means I spend less time here, although it sometimes feels bad being a lurker.
Edit: I looked into it and Tor was enabled on that specific VPN profile. Now I can comment while on VPN, which means my only limiter is my own willpower, yikes
Not quite. I went here initially because I got permabanned on reddit. But I now realize reddit is a shithole so I like it here. I do wish there were more active niche communities and I really wish you could comment while on VPN, which you cant for some reason
? EU did resist. This "new deal" is barely anything more than the already existing deal. This is an empty PR move for Trump but the average US voter will likely eat it up and say "Go, USA!"
People are so normalized to ads. I have many, many friends who either use YT free and wait patiently for 2 x 1 minute apps before every video AND ad breaks. I tell them about adblockers and they laugh and say "they dont mind". Or they play for YT premium and I tell them that adblockers exist and they say "i dont mind paying". Genuinely blows my mind
I use DDG but i wish it filtered out sites that are clearly 100% AI generated

I love ferns and I often smile whenever I see a big patch of them. They are some of the absolute oldest plants that we have and the early land animals would have wandered the earth in giant forests of ferns.
