Actually, with resources getting scarce, we should already get comfortable with the idea that a phone should be expensive, and be repairable enough to last for many years!

  • Oneplus One: mine lasted 11years, I had passed it down to my kid. I changed the charging connector once.
  • Oneplus 5T: lasted 6 years
  • Now Pixel 8a: currently one year, but I already had to get the battery replaced after 6 months :/

Yeah, these are obviously the result of a chinese suction cups treatment. It was poorly executed because the ship was rolling too much, that's why they're not regular.
We won't take any question, you're all in bad faith and Hamas anyway.

Tribute to all the old high priests who were executing the extended memory settings ritual based on each software requirements! We are the guardians of ancient knowledde!

You shall never be forgotten, sacred Amstrad 1512 DD, 512kB of RAM and Dual Drives, luxury of your time! Praise be to DR DOS an GEM Desktop!

Because execs have no clue what users want and live in a parallel world in which people want what execs wish people wanted.

Then they'll be baffled by the low take on their offer and their next step will be to force-enroll existing users on a free trial that won't stop by itself, hoping some of them will just let it run and get milked.

Remind me of a time where I was working in Asia and our instant messaging server went down because... it was a Windows server, the 2 elite IT guys were casually using it to go on Internet using the admin account to avoid all the limits put by the company (I guess porn...) and of course they managed to D/L a virus on the machine (I guess from a porn site...).

Root config to no? Real men use root as their primary account to go where no one has should never have gone before on Internet!!

If it's systematic, the whole thing can stay on a local controller. The question is about Ilternet connection, no one asked to get rid of automation.

If it requires frequent changing due to factors outside of the store, I would also wonder what they're doing with these.
