This isn’t my best game yet—it’s not as fun to play as Battle Drones—but it represents the kind of game I want more of: weird, fun, uniquely personal—something that wouldn’t have been built in the before-times.

This is about the cosy farming game btw. The 'uniquely personal' is the fact you grow pumpkins and the author grew up in a place that grew pumpkins. Imagine not engaging with the already oversaturated farming sim genre because it's not enough of a facsimile of your childhood. It's all just so anti-art.

France’s National Assembly has voted in favour of a new “internet tax” that would charge companies for every gigabyte of data they send to users in France.

Unrelated, but isn't the response to this just going to be capping video to France at 480p? And what about things like game distribution?

comment violates rule: Stay on-topic to the Goodreads app/website - Book recommendations, discussion about Goodreads alternatives or proposed improvements to Goodreads, surveys/school projects, and general discussion of reading as a hobby are all considered off-topic.

I don't think the mods there are going to let you.

!steamdeck@sopuli.xyz is a better comm (ignore the name, it's about all Valve hardware).

It looks like streaming VR content from websites

The next version of Chromium is suppose to have WebXR support on Linux. Kinda mad Valve shipped the frame without a WebXR capable browser.

Oh god yeah, and 'I Burn' is diegetic so is actually canon. The idea of Weiss being a Dragon Ball fan is funny though.

China might not exit in Remnant, but London apparently does (Big Metal Shoe calls out London Bridge).

I think you're getting two things muddled up here:

    • The report does say to use the IHRA definition for antisemitism
    • The UCAS survey where the 'three in five' figure is from just asks students if they've witnessed or experienced antisemitism, it does not enforce any definition of antisemitism

Also I did respond to a comment (of Ibelieve you yourself?) with the link to the study and the link to it

Not me, someone who's since deleted their account. You also linked the Daily Mail article not the report.

My post is still correct. As is the Reddit post.

How are we suppose to know that? It's a screenshot and you never link to the original. Verifying that Reddit screenshot took quite some work on my part and I think it's the posters responsibility to bring the evidence, not the mods to find and verify it.

And I’m not sure why you’re talking as if the BBC and TheGuardian are any more reliable sources than the Daily Main while they’re putting out Zionist propaganda slop blitzes every day which then have to be debunked by people on Twitter and Reddit because major UK newspapers cannot do basic due dilligence. And then you’re here telling me I don’t know where to get my news from?

I'm a trans person living in Britain, you'll hear no love for the Guardian or BBC from me. But the Daily Mail is still significantly worse than both of them. Just because we sometimes have to get our information from bad sources doesn't mean we should lower our standards to the Mariana Trench.

I also need to emphasis that Twitter is not a place you should be getting your news from (or be on at all for that matter). It amplifies far-right accounts and studies have shown it makes you more right wing. Frankly I don't think we allow stuff from there at all.

Here is MEE having to lay out how completely fraudulent the UK government report was they used an incredibly low sample size of 70

I never defended the report, I don't know why you're making it out like I have. I agree that 70 is a piss poor sample size to draw conclusions from.

on which they used the IHRA definition to conflate Zionism and antisemitism

No? It was self-reported. The students may be conflating criticism of Israel with antisemitism, but the survey just asks if they've experienced or witnessed antisemitism and takes them at their word.

then mythically increased 41% to 70%

    I think you mean 60%?
