My man, I'm 100% with you on that. That being said - we have much bigger problems here than a guy exploiting his exposition tweaks. I just blocked him and that's it, shame it's not that easy with the tankie vermin.

They have an entire suite just like google, and people on lemmy often jump right into the whole of it, calling it degoogling.

Yoohoo, congratulations on changing your technofeudal overlord, serf.

    4 3 5 2 1.

Top to bottom. That's how you have to read this conversation. Fourth to third to fifth to second to first. Make it make sense.

We need an option to shadowban instances. I'm worried that these delusional twats are actually gonna switch instances and blend in with the rest of us.

Hot take, we're being too harsh on her.

As in, yeah, she should've know better than to accept that position. Clearly she didn't realize that she's being hired for being the next ivanka doll, she must've figured that she was in because she was so competent.

Now I'm asking the real question - WHO GAVE HER THAT OFFER? Couldn't they have predicted that she would fail so miserably BEFORE she was picked for the job? Or was the ivanka factor just wayyy too important?

Someone was driving veeeeery carefully on the main road and managed to accumulate quite a parade of vehicles behind him.

I knew there was a secondary road that runs in parallel to the main one, so I took the scenic route and followed it.

Later I joined back the main road and arrived to my destination. I was then observing the cars that used to be far ahead of me. It took them like 2 minutes to pass me.

They will never know how much I humiliated them.

I'm 27 and for almost half of my life I've been living in various big cities. I've been observing a rising level of social anxiety in me and I was attributing it to just simply getting older and less socially active due to decreasing number of regular contacts.

I also had that presumption that everyone has their own active goals and so I would do my best to compress each social interaction as much as humanly possible to avoid taking too much time from that person.

Now I finally returned to village life and the so much slower everyday pace is just getting into my head. You're just rambling around, greeting people passing you by, some will want to interact with you, after some time you initialize the interactions yourself. You're just taking things slow, enjoying being a part of this community.

And it translates to the usual conversations too. I feel like I'm becoming so much more talkative. Smalltalk is no longer a chore, but rather a nice and refreshing activity.

Basically nothing worth noting has changed, just a bit different layout.

These big companies prolly just got nothing to do but they have to give their people some work I guess. This is not something that's happening at normal companies, it's just pointless to burn money changing ordinary aesthetics to a bit different ordinary aesthetics.

And it's not a small change either, the whole app now follows that slightly tweaked design, a lot of time and effort must've been put just to provide something that provides absolutely nothing of value.

It hasn't yet crossed my mind that we would soon have to start attaching a hand-drawn signature of ours to each of our email just to prove that we are indeed humans.

Always a step ahead, companies already show that they won't be ever interested in distinguishing real people from robots. After all, both are only just means of generating revenue, no?
