I have to disagree. Some of the greatest friendships out there were developed between coworkers. people have met their spouse at work. People became friends at work, then after hanging out for realized they should start their own company. They became quite successful because of it. Making friends at work I would say is actually kind of important. You spend a large chunk of your life around people that you work with. Might as well make friends.

Pizza in squares absolutely I have no interest in.

My hands shake, and I have very hard time on holding onto the damn thing. If it’s in a triangle with the crust at the edge for my hands to hold onto then I enjoy the pizza.

Also, super thin crust pizza. No . hard pass. Either hand tossed or deep dish.

Other than that, I’m not picky as far as the shape of it

When I click the link to read the article all I can see is

Airbnb Hosts Are Furious They Can No Longer Make Guests Do Their Chores

Some hosts are threatening to strike, while others are plotting ways around Airbnb’s new restrictions. Guests, meanwhile, are celebrating.

And that’s it. No story beyond that. Has links to other stories though. Glad the op copied the story here though. Just interesting the story doesn’t appear at the site

to make sure we are on the same page. I open Update Manager, click on View then on Linux Kernels.

in there i have many kernels.

    I have for example

6.17 and when i click on that it shows

    6.17.0-42 End of Life

    6.17.0-41 End of Life

and many others that show End of Life.

I just watched https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKQ0Ctu3NZs&t=172s and he said any of the kernels that show End of Life I should remove them. Is that always true or is there a reason to keep those kernels?

I can use the package and say update all. And then everything currently installed gets updated. going to use libreoffice as an Example. I’ve heard that if you update in a different way you get a newer version of Libre office.

This is really two questions here:

    1. Does the package Manager just run the most stable version of Libre office?
    2. Is there a better way to update my programs using the package ? Even if it’s a terminal window command?

I’m fairly new to Linux, so these might be kind of strange questions to those who are familiar with it. The more information you can give me the better also remember me like I’m five please

Edit: This isn’t just about just libreoffice This is about pretty much all the programs in the package manager. I’m also curious, is there a single command that I can use to update all the programs even if it’s in the terminal window. Or do I get more stable programs if I stay with the package manager?

I have used computers starting around the mid to early 1980s. The first computer I used was an Apple 2e. (actually it was wrote as Apple IIe)

I have built my own computers. I am the guy that people used to come and ask questions about computers and software. For the last several years developers have been insistant on making things harder and more complicated.

It just took 40 fucking minutes for me to turn on and transfer the data from 1 ipad to a new ipad.

How the hell do you the software developer make things that fucked up?

I do exactly what was asked and the damned (new) Ipad just keeps looping.

For the love of all that is good in this world, if you are the developer that thinks this shit is ok, find the tallest building on the planet and jump. There is no reason to make things this screwed up. I hate you just as much as I hate trump, and that is saying something.

There is nothing that this planet would lose if you were gone from it. I am so sick and tired of dealing with shit products.

this is the sad thing. I installed and am using linux mint and that is a dream compared to some of this garbage.

Why do you feel the need to make things that just plain suck? It isn't just apple. It's microsoft. It's interfaces on other electronic items. Please just stop doing stupid shit. and if you aren't capable of stopping the crappy way that you think. Just go flip burgers at McDonalds.

Edit: These others have said you’re right it’s managers and boards, but there are pheromonal developers also the same way they just don’t get it. But you are right the majority of the problem is the managers and the system that has been created.

It would be nice if we could get a constitutional amendment that would redraw all districts, regions, and precincts in simple squares and rectangles. It should ignore everything else. No favoritism. No gerrymandering. Nothing. If you can gerrymander in favor of one group then you can gerrymander in favor of another group. Take the control out of human hands. Just a simple algorithm. Once you hit either a certain number of people or a certain amount of land mass then that’s it. Make another zone. I’m tired of cheating.

    Right now it defaults to

    Brother HL-L3300CDW

    when it should default to

    eSCL Brother HL-L3300CDW series

how do i fix this? I'm assuming it's editing a configuration file somewhere. Just not sure where.

Sorry about the poor image quality.

I should clarify that I only have one physical scanner/printer. Document Scanner is just defaulting to the wrong option in the scanner software.

I’ve tried clicking subscribe on it so that way it would become a subscribed community, but I can’t unsubscribe from it. And there’s no way to remove that community from my list.

It’s been stuck in that list for weeks. When I click on.” Home” Which would show posts from subscriptions, post from that community show up. Does anybody have any idea how to get rid of that community out of my subscribed list?
