I appreciate the response. I did get it figured out when someone explained ReplayGain tags to me. I had seen the setting in Jellyfin and Symfonium and enabled it (which funny enough is why the one album was so quiet) but didn't know I needed to add the tags to each track to make it work. Picard has a plugin for ReplayGain that I set up and have been going through my library artist by artist to get added.

I've now seen aliasvault so many times I'm starting to be suspicious of it. Thankfully its only been in this community so I can acknowledge that I'm the problem and not them, but it just reminds me of Omarchy a few months back having never heard of it and suddenly every tech YouTuber is mentioning it. Again, I'm the problem, aliasvault seems promising.

I would maybe hold off on choosing Bitwarden. Around the time they raised their pricing they started getting venture capitalist money so the enshittification there may be coming. As far as alternatives, the only other one I've used besides Proton is KeePass which could be make or break depending on how you setup the vault, I'd probably save it in something pCloud so you aren't screwed should something happen to your server, but YMMV.

I'm currently feeling a little weird about Rise Against because the lead singer liked Pink's anti Macklemore Instagram post. I know the other members have made some pro-Palestine comments, but it's just a little concerning. Then there's Linkin Park feeling very money hungry since Chester died, I just don't feel the passion in their music. Neither of those are as bad ad domestic abuse (depending on the deeper meaning behind liking that post) but it's still hard to listen to.

Funny enough, in Minnesota one of the attack ads I've been seeing from the MAGA side has been targeted at the lieutenant gov running for senate saying that she's been the cause of prices raising in Minnesota. Not sure if anyone is buying that bullshit.

If you do light novels, I'd recommend checking it out there too, there's only 20 volumes and it's completed, compared to a lot of series that just feel like they could go on forever, or take really long between releases. The Audiobook is up to volume 16 I believe.

I kind of looked around on the site, it kept mentioning fair use limits and that the number would be communicated effectively before any change, but I can't see the current limit to email aliases and whatnot, if anyone can find that answer it'd be lovely.

I saw someone mention pCloud and thought I'd take a moment to point out that if you can afford a heftier upfront cost, pCloud has different levels of Lifetime plan and probably will have a decent Black Friday sale for it. That said, they could probably change the terms of that retroactively, I don't know anything about the company itself, but still worth mentioning. Personally, I'd recommend something like on prem NextCloud (or similar) with backups going to pCloud. Bonus points for encrypting those backups with Cryptomator.

I've got at least one album on my Jellyfin server that's about two volume notches quieter than most of the other albums on my server so when I'm playing it back I turn it up, then the next song starts blaring and I have to turn it down again. Wondering if anyone knows of a good tutorial or anything for comparing the decibels of two songs and to bring them more in line with each other.

    Self-hosted Radio (midwest.social)

Wondering if anyone knows of a project similar to NostalgiaTV, but for music, essential where I'd be able to create stations pointed at playlists on my Jellyfin server and it will just build a continuous schedule where if I turn on that station it might just be in the middle of a song, rather than me just selecting a playlist and skipping songs till I get to one I want right now.

I know, it's not necessarily practical, but I like the idea.
