It was never allowed to drive on the road in Europe so I only ever saw it once at a car show. It was uglier up close. We were not allowed get close or touch it unlike all other cars on that show. My guess is that greasy fingers are not good for the body and hard to clean.

It's not just that a moron is in power. That's common enough. It's that nobody stops him. Everybody jumped on board the dictator train immediately. Trump says to block ICC accounts and Microsoft clacks their heels and does it. Starlink gets nerfed. Tariffs come and go. It's all demonstrated fact now, not a feeling, rumour, vague threat or might happen.

Keeping one rack of GPU running needs basically all the uninhabited parts of the international space station. That's roughly 100 kilowatt. That's 10.000 ISS sized installations, man's most expensive object ever made, for a gigawatt datacenter. I just hope he's forced to bankroll this personally

Around the equator, there's no daylight saving time. It's also dark every day year round at 6 pm. The only way to prevent early darkness is to go live in the Southern Hemisphere for winter.

Because these people want to avoid an "are we the baddies" moment, so a nice elaborate magic box full of plausible deniability is prefered. Everybody wants to be the hero in their own story and the fancier the story the better.
