It makes me sad when I see people in community describing themselves as a "transwomen" instead of trans women.

It's a word made up by TERFs and other transphobes to differentiate between cis or as they would say,

'phobic language
"normal"
women, and transgender women.

"Trans" is short for transgender, an adjective modifying the noun "women." Hence, it should be two words, trans women. Same as tall woman or short woman, not tallwoman or shortwoman.

Lotta discussion about alternatives.

For email I recommend runbox.com. They just do email, that's it. worker owned, geothermal powered, based in Norway which has better privacy laws than EU and no ChatControl.

For all else, find a NextCloud provider -- there are tons. Even a couple of free ones.

Hoping to use osmand + [redacted] as a way to track my phone, after a near miss dropping it in a park the other day.

But the only options for location are, "don't allow," "aak every time," or "allow while using the app."

I thought maybe granting "run in background" might help, but OsmAnd doesn't request that permission

Back in the day that Wiki was an amazing resource with descriptions, names, providers, and ratings, and I think stories for all kinds of gender confirmation surgery

I deleted my account years ago before even moving to piefed or Lemmy or whatever it was back then.

Is it still around? Is it accessible somewhere without id verification or any of the other bullshit that Reddit is doing now?

Converted my daily driver to my vm/docker host. I assumed all my images would be included in timeshift's snapshots, but... nope!

Fortunately I figured it out before I needed it. was testing my backups as part of prep for wiping everything and going to headless debian, found libvirt was missing.

Edit: Added rsync tag to reflect the comments section, which really deserves its own thread.
