Dr. Phil McGraw's attempt to transition from daytime television personality to a politically aligned media mogul during Donald Trump's second presidential term has been marked by spectacular failure and financial turmoil, according to a new report.

Since the start of Trump's presidency, ex-psychologist and famed TV doctor McGraw positioned himself as an active participant in the administration. He became a firsthand witness to ICE raids, a critic of protests, and an ever-present volunteer for the executive branch — attending events like RFK Jr.'s swearing-in and appearing with Trump after the Texas flooding.

Dozens of employees have been laid off as it averaged just 27,000 weekly viewers, broadcasting partnerships floundered and, in July, it filed for bankruptcy.

He's not a doctor, they took that away.

Also, I think I hear the world's smallest violin playing a mournful tune just for him.

They took that away because he fucked a teenage patient. College kid came to him for depression, he gave her a job and had sex with her.

They were going to supervise his practice and let him keep his license, but he gave it up rather than submit to supervision.

There are a couple of stories of addicts on his show being offered drugs before they went on to make them relapse/seem worse. The show was basically an exploitation of people desperate enough to take public humiliation in exchange for mental health “help.”

I think he’s in part responsible for a lot of terrible attitudes about mental health - a popular understanding that “tough love” is a helpful approach, a refusal to acknowledge the impact of trauma… A general problem with America seems to be viewing TV show personalities as “experts.”

I really hate that all these horrible people refuse to retire with all of the money they’ve cheated out of people over the years. Social workers retire. Teachers retire. Firemen retire. But apparently making sure as many people die as possible is so much fun it gives these ghouls the energy they need to keep going.

  • At a certain level of wealth, it becomes about the power you have over people. There's only so much personal consumption of material things you can actually engage in, then the pleasure comes from bending people to your will. If you retire and hide yourself away, there aren't many people around to command.

Republican grifters work best when Republicans don't have all the power. They can blame all your issues on the libs and the communists and support people who will never win like Ron Paul and rake in millions. When they are in charge, the people they have to blame gets silly. Deep state, Jewish cabal of Globalists etc works for a short while, but then all the changes they said will make everything better go into place and things get even worse.

Even worse for them is those who straddled the line to be able to market to whoever was in charge (the Phil's, Harveys, Ozes etc) decide to either join the "strong" or just finally stop faking who they were in the first place and find themselves in an oversaturated sea of people pulling the same grift. With ever poorer marks.

Also, the 1% are indiscriminate in their greed. Sooner or later they will forget who their power base is, and suck up the money that feeds it.

Conservatism has no sense of why conservation is good for an ecosystem. Be it ecological or fiscal.

Good news: Nazi cheerleader goes out of business

Bad news: It's because there's so many Nazi cheerleaders in 2025 that they saturated their market, and (per the article) he failed for not being Nazi enough

This is standard tier Oprah Slop. She had a conga line of hacks and grifters plugging their snake oil on her show, decade after decade. Phil McGraw is simply one of the most successful.

Well unless he's a total moron and not just playing one on TV he already made all his money from all the gullible people over the last 25 years so, why's he care?

Unless he pulls a my pillow guy he could just back into the shadows and live his life a lot better off than the rest of us.

he came into the game too late. the og ones, shapiro, owens, POOLE, crowder, or iginally kirk were there first. seems alot of "streamers of games are trying to get into the biz too" i used to followed some asian ytubers that are trying to get into grifting from the right, because they trashed thier reputation through a series of incidents (one of them being extremely mysogynistic towards female employees that once worked for them)they caused and never owned up to. they hosted TULSI GABBARD last year on thier channel.

The good, cool people are all gonna be livin' it up in Hell where knowledge and pleasure are encouraged.
