U mean lack of profit

Maybe it'd be better if we didn't all buy the same products the world-over from the same megacorps, especially food.
If the UK can't grow rice, then they shouldn't have Rice Crispies. Food security starts at home.
I mean no one should eat that crap anyway, but that's a point aside.
It's actually horrifying when you think there are places in the world where rice is the staple carbohydrate.
That means that starvation is coming to those parts that can't afford it during the coming shortage.
Another example of a brand blowing up the one thing people remember them for just to save a few percentage points. Another brilliant decision out of the Business School minds.
They get bought by equity firms, those firms tank the quality to cash in until they've destroyed the reputation of the product. Then they move on to the next brand. They have gone through so many so far.
Banana peels haven't actually been slippery since the Gros Michel stopped being sold, but it's still part of the brand. Rice Krispies' target market turns over every couple of years and won't know any better.
Brand is all this product ever had to sell you. It's a food-shaped object marketed to negligent parents. It really does not matter what is in the box.
If Oat Milk can't be called Milk because it contains no milk, how can Rice Krispies still be called Rice when they are made from corn. Isn't it just false advertising at this point.
They still use rice flour, just not whole grain rice.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grape-Nuts
There are two versions of the Grape-Nuts name's origin. One is that Post thought that what he referred to as “grape sugar” (glucose) was created when the product was baked. Since the product has a nutty flavor, he is said to have combined the two into "grape nuts." The second version is that the product resembles grape seeds, or grape “nuts.”[9]
The real problem is it’s going to contain wheat. It’s no longer safe for those who NEED to be gluten free. Yes, the are going to label it accordingly. But mistakes will happen because people have been eating it safely for years and will not expect to need to read the labeled again.
If someone is getting upset by this, they need to take a step back and consider what they're doing with their life.
Labels and regulations are important. Unfortunately our regulatory commissions are fangless and can't do much so being outraged online is the only thing we can do to get these companies to be less shitty or abide by labels. But yes we are all busy with other shit too. Takes 30 seconds to write a post or sign a petition and potentially get some change though. Instead of just a negative post like you did.
If someone isn't bothered about product ingredient changes that materially change the product and its contents, they're inclined to get screwed over by corporations
The new recipes mean cereal packaging will now include a "contains wheat gluten" warning.
RIP to the celiacs and gluten intolerant out there, I know losing a product you can eat is rough when you’re on a limited diet.
I'm sorry what!? Well if plant milk can no longer be called 'milk' in the UK, these should no longer be able to use the word 'Rice'.
This is what the beginning of climate blow back looks like.
you poor uk bastards.
at least you dont have to suffer a pedophile president
They have a pedophile prince, but at least he was stripped of his duties and titles.
We have suffered due to the nonce in chief, though less than his subjects.
