You don’t even have to restrict yourself to your town’s library, most will let you just walk in and sign up for a card. I go to a Makerspace in a different city because my local library doesn’t have one, and use digital resources for a library in a different city.
Yeah, that’s why some Thai (and other countries) dishes use things like peanut sauce with spicy dishes.
Everything’s bluer in Texas.
Seems like it wouldn’t be hard to exchange them or just buy a pair in the same brand that fits, but I’m glad it doesn’t occur to them.
I voted no on this because I don’t like that part of it either, but since it’s nonprofit and UC-affiliated I’m hoping it won’t be that bad. I’m definitely more upset about 40.
lmao, I literally just said “Michael Crichton died??” to my husband when I read the bit about his widow. Apparently in 2008.
I don’t know that I can explain it as anything other than too much detail in the ‘wrong’ spots compared to what an actual person would do. Sure man, I’ll bear with you. You wanna pick berries or go fishing first?
Lmao, I’m sorry you are not going to be able to recite an incantation of the law at me that makes me decide destroying rare books is good.
🤷♂️ I’m not a lawyer, basing this off what my teachers have told me. All of which is pretty unrelated to Anthropic destroying books.
That would probably violate fair use, since it’s not for educational purposes: https://nic.libguides.com/c.php?g=924632&p=6664204
It would be news if it kept happening for many days, because that’s less likely to be statistical noise. But yes, a cumulative 3 day drop within hours of opening is news.
