9 of the top 10 are about removing him. Legendary.

Not just the top entry. The entire 'General Ideas' category is flooded with "replace your leadership team" feedback.

Nah, that's a rookie number. You gotta pump that number up to 69420. 😎

Time to migrate everything to my Tuta account. Been a customer of Proton for years but won't tolerate this.

I'm the same. I am a paying proton customer, but won't renew in march. Already got myself a legend Tuta account and will self host my password manager. Fuck this Andy

Yeah Tuta is based. I should have migrated to them a long time ago. Just hope they don't end up pulling the same crap down the road.

Switch to using 1 or more custom domains and only use FOSS software that can be backed up (encrypted) to any cloud. No corpo can ever be trusted long term.

Criminals gonna do crime, and under our late stage fascist kleptocracies, the criminals run the entire show.

  • Already moving important emails to Tuta. It'll be hard for them to earn back my trust knowing some shitty CEO can come in and fuck things up

Am I out of touch? No, it's the customers who are wrong!

He's the reason I left my grandfathered all-access Proton account behind and moved to Tuta, Mullvad, etc.

    FML.

Any recommendations for alternatives that are equally in-memory only and logging-light?

I am interested in this too. I've heard mixed things about IVPN but that seems to be the main alternative.

This weekend, news broke that security/privacy-focused anonymous email service ProtonMail turned over a French climate activist’s IP address and browser fingerprint to Swiss authorities. This move seemingly ran counter to the well-known service’s policies, which as recently as last week stated that “by default, we do not keep any IP logs which can be linked to your anonymous email account.”

Is this just about the recent pivot to AI or is there other stuff?

I love the energy, but avoiding AI products is going to be tough.

I do my best to avoid fascist techlords products but that's not easy either.

They also partnered with a Swiss university that collaborates with Israeli military, and prosecuted students for protesting against the genocide in Palestine.

For the AI part, they are also re interviewing a lot of employees and basically will fire anyone not token maxing
