Underscores (I like their album U), then femtanyl
Kinda obsessed with their newest All The Time rn, but I like a bunch of her earlier stuff too

Against Me!
Idk how I've never heard of this one before but it's giving early-2000's blink 182/the killers, 9/10 very solid!
Laura Jane Grace is a beautiful person. I love her music, both before and after she transitioned.
Favorite songs:
I had no idea! I’m only familiar with Teenage Anarchist and Thrash Unreal, which apparently came out before she came out. That’s awesome.
Yeah, her coming out was pretty big. Including her ex wife having to tell Rolling Stone that Laura's gender had nothing to do with the divorce. She later titled her (pretty good) autobiography a transphobic slur.
Transgender Dysphoria Blues was an amazing album as well, that really hits hard especially early in transition. And it's wild in retrospect that she put out The Ocean (song) before coming out. But in retrospect she's got a handful of songs from that era that are clearly dealing with her relationship with her gender.
Don’t feel bad, I had no idea until seeing her in concert in 2014! It was a “Holy fuck, fuck yeah dude!” experience.
My daughter's classmate once gave her a list of musicians she liked and it was pretty much just a list of transfem Canadians. Neither of them are trans and I'm not out, so it was entirely coincidental.
Probably still Wendy Carlos. The Clockwork Orange soundtrack is tight, and was pioneering.
Recently got into Lex Walton. She’s pretty obscure, you’ve probably never heard of her lol!
Sophie is incredible. She made one of my favorite albums of all time, Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides. Highly recommend for fans of experimental pop and club music.
I'm a fan of Owlbear. They're a power metal band with a transfem vocalist, and she also has a black metal solo act. I've been to a couple of shows with Owlbear in the lineup and they're even better live.
Cab Ride Home, another metal band with a trans vocalist, had a pretty good album and a couple of EPs, but went on hiatus since she's now a senator in Virginia.
Lena Raine is the first person in my mind, some people were very hard on her being C418's successor. But I believe she's actually great, haven't listen to her other works tho.
You should try Celeste :3
Laura Jane Grace is my favorite artist I love Against Me! And her solo works. Saw her concerts a few times shes really good
Definitely the artist I've most consistently loved. Been listening to her for like 12-13 years now. At first, at least one song confused me because it seemed like she was gendering herself as female, but she was stilling going by her deadname back then. In hindsight, it was obvious she had already tried to come out through songs before TDB released, but I hadn't paid much attention to the lyrics in the most explicit songs.
She's so fucking good in concert. My ex took me years ago and it was great. I should look to see if she'll be somewhere near me at some point, I'd love to take my wife to one of her shows
Wait, apparently she's been releasing new music under her name‽ I'd just been looking for AM!. And it's folk punk! Ooh, I'm gonna have some fun with that
For transmasc: Dylan and the moon! He has a few songs that he rerecorded after his transition and mixed together to create a duet with himself! https://youtu.be/ojSmc7s1rgU
Lena Raine!
Hell yeah, minecraft soundtrack lady
I saw Sarah and the Safe Word at a Bear Ghost concert and they were pretty fun, the lead singer is transfem and pretty sure all the other members identify as queer
Cheap Dirty Horse
A UK punk band
Highlights include "On the rob" and "I transed your dad"
FOXCULT FOXCULT FOXCULT!!!
Boy Clothes is a great emo-ish band from Nashville. The bass player is fantastic and I wish I could remember the stage name she uses for her solo stuff. I'll add it if my brain decides to work.
Obligatory StomachBook, Femtanyl, and Changeline.
Against Me! remains GOATed
Honorable mention to Wendy Carlos the mother of electronic music. Seriously, she basically completely revolutionized music by helping develop the moog synthesizer then winning a grammy by releasing an album of Bach on it (in 1968), transitioned in 1968, publicly came out in 1979, and is still around today in her 80s. She also did the soundtrack to A Clockwork Orange, the Shining, and Tron.
Kim Petras is also worth bringing up here, especially since this thread is really punk. I'm not much of a pop girlie, but her music is pretty dang good, and she's also won a Grammy, made all the more impressive by doing it while openly trans.
I love The Bedroom Witch. If Synthpop Darkwave is your thing I recommend you check it out.
Idk if she is my favorite but damn i love jasmin.4.t, she just has this very chill and nice vibe to it and a beautiful beautiful voice! Plus she definetly deserves more love aswell!
This is definitely a "got to be in the mood for it" kinda sound, but I like it! Having a hard time trying to think of what it reminds me of. 8/10, solid pick.
And also sometimes goes hard - the outro to Elephant (especially live) and Did U No both blew me away. Had a good chat with her after a show about guitar tone, she highlighted Sunn O))) as an influence which is decidedly not chill haha
Not my personal favorite but my wife really likes Rainbow Kitten Surprise. The lead singer came out as trans a few years back.
I don't listen to that many transfem artists, though my favourite artist, Jamie Paige, is one of the few. I can also recommend shteppi.
Also a notable mention for a small non-trans artist: hiSwaps!
Musithical are transfem+plural, discovered them recently and am now a huge fan. be warned, their lyrics are mostly not particularly subtle and can get rather dark

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSJUajd_A7o (my personal favorite)
something which occurred to me while writing the above comment: what's an appropriate word for a plural system which makes music? "band" feels wrong (to me that word implies multiple instrumental/vocal tracks being performed all at once), but "artist" seems even worse (imo it carries a very strong singular connotation).

G.L.O.S.S.
Nameless mist (atmospheric black metal)
Victory over the sun (avant-garde/prog black metal)
Kyros (prog-rock/synthpop)
Fogweaver (dungeon synth)
Bull of Apis Bull of Bronze (black metal)
She/Her/Hers, Destructo Disk, and Mischief Brew.
Um… Axis of Awesome?
(I don't even listen to them that much but I feel exposed for not having any bands with trans singers in my collection)
glass beach - classic j dies and goes to hell part 1
you are an angel - why
key vs. locket - rifle
Ada Rook - PARTY TIME SEXY DISORDER
Jane Remover - your clothes
There's a bunch of trans punk bands here, Crop Tops and Heterophobes are probably my top two
LGBTQ-friendly: Ross Federman (from Tally Hall)

Of course I listen to femtanyl as well and other artists I might not even know are trans, lol.
Not trans, but I'm a big fan of KFlay. For specifically trans I probably have to go with Steam Powered Giraffe, although she unfortunately left the band recently (amicably). Both are fantastic live
Ezra Furman is my all-time fave! Her music is so beautiful and full of vivid, idiosyncratic imagery. If you havent heard of her elsewhere she did the soundtrack for Sex Education.
Eris drew and octa octa they just released a wonderful acid, breakbeat album as alchemical sisters. It is a testament, a statement. Transfemmes on top of their game shaking up electronic dance music. Its just so ridicoulesely fun
I really like https://open.spotify.com/album/25PRPqWH5Z3fOR2CHocRDq !!!
I love Xiu Xiu. https://youtu.be/IClPnI207VA
