Oh for fucks sake. She is running in South Carolina, what the fuck do you want her to do?

I don't know, maybe have an ounce of solidarity and don't engage with transphobia. It's that simple. Even saying you don't think its a relevant issue to the campaign is better.

If the moral obligation isn't enough motivation, maybe the studies that recently came out showing tranphobic attacks weren't even helping Republicans are. It's not just awful, but also a losing strategy.

That's just a lunatic way to go about voting in a democracy. Just vote for them and hope they're lying when they campaign?

No, the winning strategy is to run on popular positions that help people, and make their lives better, and deliver on them. But Dems are too busy supporting Trump and the Republicans, while screwing over their voters to care about that.

    popular positions

Is it a popular position in that district?

So is ending foreign wars, taxing the rich, changing the economy to benefit the working class, affordable healthcare, and afforable housing. But I don't see the dems doing that.

Ending foreign wars is popular in both her district and nationally so she is going to promote ending foreign wars and this happens to line up with other Democrats.

No, she's going to talk about ending foreign wars when campaigning, but support them as soon as she gets into office, as is the Democratic way.

In her particular district, the voters are all hopped up on anti trans rhetoric from their Maga news source. So she can lie and win the election or be noble and lose.

No, she can tell the truth, or avoid the question. But she's not going to lose because of this. She's going to lose because the voters know that she won't deliver on what they want.

You want her to be noble and lose so that Trump stays in power.

I love how Libs have to keep telling me what I want, instead of addressing the points that I make. I want her to support equal rights for all, and deliver for the working class. Something that she, and Trump, are against.

So by your logic, we should have voted for Trump and hoped that he was just lying the whole time?

If you are Maga, then yes. If you are Maga, you hear Trump say he supports gays but you know what he really stands for. Magas then used "Trump said he supports gays" when talking to centrists. But they knew what Trump stood for.

Ignoring the obvious point of my question for a lame attempt at a gotcha. Do they teach this at Lib 101? Do they think it actually works?

Left isn't about to win culture wars against religious fanatics.

Those with hate towards Trans people, Hindus, Muslims, Latinos or whichever group they dislike are not going to change because of what anyone from out-group says to them.

Only thing Left can successfully do is not let them pull you into mud wrestling whenever they feel like it. Focus on working class. Trans folks suffer from a high cost of living just the same.

"I believe America is great when it protects everyone's rights. I don't believe that the government should be in the room meddling when parents make the best choices for their children, and doctors do what's right for their patients."

That's what i want to hear. I want to see Democrats stand for something, and refuse to accept Republicans' framing of issues.

I want to stop the Democratic Party from becoming more transphobic so they don't participate in a bipartisan genocide against me. When you elect transphobic Dems you are empowering that wing of the party, and disempowering the pro-trans rights wing of the party. I will not vote for my genocide.

I'm going to write in a pro-trans runner up from the primary, so when their demon loses, they can see they lost my vote.

Yes. That's what we want. We want you not to throw away human rights so that you can get along with the fascists. That is absolutely 100% correct. We want you to resist that urge you have to kill trans people while putting your arm around your fascist buddy.

We were hoping that you had learned your lesson from history. Learned that this is literally the Nazi Playbook. That you morons have lost this war before with this exact same rhetoric of compromise with the Nazis now by sacrificing the rights of marginalized groups so you can get along. We want you to be better than Nazi Collaborators. Bridge too far for some of you though it seems.

Yes, I will absolutely come to you when you call us out for resisting your Nazi ideology. 100% every single time. Please continue to be proud that you're literally supporting Nazism. I will always be an anti-fascist. No matter how much you hate that it's never going to change.

Just be fucking honest. You just want us dead. You and your Nazi friends want us dead. You don't want to stand up to your Nazi friends to protect us. Just be honest. Be honest about your bigotry. Be honest about what kind of person you are.

Brother if you're so ignorant you don't understand the parallels between the Nazis targeting trans people and the Liberals of Germany go along with it and what you're literally advocating for here there's no fucking help for you.

Or as I really suspect, it's just what you always have wanted all along.

Yeah okay, sure. Must be a rough day for you by the way. Your friend Haley Stevens doesn't seem to be doing well. This is what its gonna be like for all you maga collaborators. Once you find out you can't force us to accept all your fascist ideals, you're going to cut bait and run back to Daddy Trump. I fucking see you. We all see you.

LMAO…. So let’s see, after getting called out for being a non-voting divisionist:

I’m now a Nazi, MAGA, and a fascist for (checks notes)

    Suggesting people vote.

    HILARIOUS!

Seriously. You have to stop. This can’t possibly get any funnier.

You say that like Nazi, Maga, and fascist are all different things. Those are all synonyms.

You're not saying people should vote. You're saying people should vote for the Maga platform. Just like your friend in Michigan.

Not surprised you find the lives of trans people being put in danger to be funny though. You just keep fucking telling on yourself.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone so enthusiastically wrong in my entire life. It’s like you go all the way out of your way to be wrong about every single thing you say.

Normally I’d block you because you, like the others. Have nothing worthwhile to say- but unlike the suffering that I believe you carelessly caused minorities, I find you incredibly funny. And I do enjoy a good laugh. So I’m going to keep you.

(Highlighted the words I feel you’ll have a problem with making sense of. Hope it helps!!)

Hey! Trans is an adjective, like tall or smart. You can (and should) just say "trans people" like "tall people" or "smart people". Attaching the adjective to the noun, like trans-people or transpeople, implies it is a new thing distinct from the original noun. Have a nice day!

I've edited my comment, but I don't think I understand what you mean by this? How is something like "tall-person" different than "tall person" ?

When its an adjective with no propaganda and vitriol being spewed about it, its murkier. But when you say "trans-(wo)man" or "black-(wo)man" or something like that, even though it is grammatically acceptable I believe, you risk the implication that the object you describe is a distinct, other object from a "normal" (wo)man.

Edit: also, thank you for editing your original comment - not many are as open to feedback

If the AntiHitler Party becomes the BlueHitler Party to win against the RedHitler Party, then the people have no choice but to vote for Hitler. A 2 party system is defunct.
