The rewards aren’t entirely free — to actually redeem them, you’ll have to make a "separate qualifying purchase."

Okay, so they're coupons. You advertise to yourself for hours on end to get a few measley, regular-ass coupons.

I’ve bought a couple FTW 3080s used for about $300 give or take. They work great for probably 98% of games even on high settings, I get 150 fps on fast paced shooters with coustomized settings and no OC. I can’t see a reason for a 5090 other than bragging rights or some highly specialized uses, and paying that high five-figure price tag for one is craziness. RAM prices absolutely do suck, though.

  • There are more than enough great old games that run on potato hardware and can give you hours/day/weeks/months of fun. The AAA Gaming companies that push out unfinished and unoptimized games for 70$ will suffer. And they can not suffer enough.

It’s rather unfortunate that I can’t really support anything from Shift Up as they embraced AI to the point that assets are awful even in promotional material…

I bet the RAM companies are regretting the lifetime warranty. I wounder if they will wind that back soon.

I had 1 of my 16GB corsair low profile ddr4 3600 18cl sticks just die on me. I thought they lasted forever. The low profile couldnt be replaced and I got an equivalent bigger set. I had to pay 360€ (!) as a reserve to get them sent.

Been playing Arx Fatalis lately, it is great. Next up is Ultima VII. Finished Half-Life and the expansions earlier this year. Lots of great, older games out there. Also many good new indie games that aren't demanding.

I've been sticking with indie games for the past few years now. Definitely the better choice, though a handful can get too attached to the games they make.

This past week, one indie dev got super pissed at me when I made a Steam review calling her game bad and going in-depth on why it's so bad. I've reviewed a few hundred games now, and this is the first time an indie dev got that mad over my Steam review.

There's another dev I support who felt disappointed over a reviewer with a large following bad-mouthing his game. Some fans offered to help defend the dev's honor by commenting in that Steam review, but the dev talked them down.

Can't say I blame such devs, though - quality indie games take a long time to make after all. A stranger calling your game bad after all that effort certainly could make an indie dev see red.

Seems to be missing a lot of data, unfortunately, but I did my part and added some updated locations (although not all of them) for War Thunder.

Edit: if I remember, I'll also add Stanley Forest, BC for Inscryption.

Gamers dont want physical media so I think it makes sense to stop making it. Its unfortunate that consoles are so locked down and this will lead to abuse of console players but thats the environment they built. I will keep trying to keep PC free because I'd hate to end up like PlayStation or Nintendo yikes.
