Eliza was literally the worst part of that show. Darwin was a close second.

Every other member of that family was more interesting/likeable. The sister was the best. Half valley girl, half Daria, dragged into the wilderness when she just wanted to be a normal teenager.

he's filling colonizer museums with stuff he stole from other countries

Stuff he stole from other people who stole it from other countries.

    The two exceptions being:

    1. The statue from the intro in the first movie
    2. In the second movie, the remains of a Chinese emperor that he was commissioned to find by a Chinese person

Proxmox or Incus can use ZFS, but i doubt you'd be able to directly move your container datasets from TrueNAS. You'd most likely have to rebuild the containers and/or move application configs/dbs. If you keep static data in datasets (your video media for instance), those will transfer over fine.

Proxmox might be overkill especially if you're not using high availability features. I only use it on one of my machines because switching is too much hassle, but every new system I set up uses Incus on top of regular Debian.

For a big migration, you can use a cheap VPS for compute + Backblaze for a ton of cheap storage to help. For instance you could install TrueNAS on the VPS, move all your stuff over to the cloud temporarily, wipe your local hardware and install Incus, then move your containers back to your hardware. The other option is to do the opposite and set up the new environment in the cloud, then when its setup, wipe your local and move your new OS to on-prem.

But yeah this would be a time/research investment, rather than the monetary investment of just upgrading your cards.

I've never used TrueNAS and don't know how your infrastructure is set up, so I have no idea how difficult migration would be, but switching to a different OS that supports your cards would be free.

Could look into Incus or Proxmox.

The quote doesn't actually say "its now impossible to program without AI".

What it really is saying is "It's impossible to make a product without AI somewhere in the supply chain".

Which I still don't exactly believe, but its much different than what people seem to have read.

"On-premises" as it refers to enterprise hw/sw, has been a phrase much longer than "local LLM"

Even though everyone moved to cloud, most companies keep some portion of their infrastructure on-prem, like prod env in the cloud and on-prem test env/backups, or vice versa

Maybe most consumers wouldn't recognize the phrase, but industry professionals certainly would

Florida has a squatter's rights law that kicks in after 7 years, but if I remember right, requires you to pay taxes and show you improved the property somehow.

Sounds like what this guy was trying to do, but idk how we would claim he was the one doing everything, if he paid for it in the departed's name.
