Yes and the funding was blocked by, you guessed it, Trump.

Earlier this year, Trump vetoed legislation that would have funded a major drinking water project in Boebert’s Colorado district.

The proposal had already passed both the House and Senate unanimously and would have helped provide clean drinking water access to roughly 50,000 residents in the region.

Despite Trump citing financial concerns for vetoing the bill, Boebert publicly argued at the time that the president had previously supported the project before tensions escalated surrounding Peters’ imprisonment and political disputes in Colorado.

Coming from the receiving end of this, it really does help to just talk to someone. Being in your own head and just heading down detrimental trains of thought is something I’ve struggled with so it’s nice to have a third party just say what you’re saying doesn’t make sense or just say yeah that sucks life isn’t fair sometimes. It’s why ‘having a shoulder to cry on’ is such a common phrase I think.

Yeah therapy should most likely be part of a long term solution to dig into things and for some people just reiterating therapy is nothing to be ashamed of is reassuring. But yeah if someone is calling therapy is not what they need at that moment. I know when I was younger I would hide the fact that I was going to therapy because I thought, based on stereotypes from media, that doing therapy makes you weak-minded or something.

The vulnerability reportedly allows an unauthenticated attacker to execute code via the WordPress REST API batch endpoint, potentially resulting in complete compromise of the website and its underlying data. No valid account or user interaction is required.

According to the advisory, the vulnerability affects WordPress versions 6.9.0 through 6.9.4 and versions 7.0.0 through 7.0.1. The issue is fixed in WordPress 6.9.5 and 7.0.2. A fix is also included in WordPress 7.1 Beta 2.

WordPress maintainers stated they are forcing updates for affected installations with automatic updates enabled. Administrators should nevertheless verify that each internet-facing WordPress website has successfully upgraded to WordPress 6.9.5, 7.0.2, or another fixed release appropriate for its branch. Workarounds are not recommended at this time.

    AWS Wickr (lemmy.world)

Wickr used to be my favorite E2E messaging app but it disappeared for awhile. Then it got bought by Amazon so I distrust it at face value because I don’t trust Amazon in general. How do people feel about this? It seems to have good encryption still and burn on read.

    Movies (lemmy.world)

Hi I hope this is the right place to post this. How do I address someone who has transitioned but acted before? For example Ellen Page acted in quite a few films before transitioning. He, Elliot, still acts. Do I address the time spent identifying as a woman and say this is a slice of existence and identify as such?
