I've seen some pretty feature rich PDFs - before WebGIS got really good, people would often disseminate digital maps and geographic reports via GeospatialPDF which is an extension for PDF. You can do all kinds of stuff in there related to measuring distances, coordinate transformations and zoom/pan around the maps. Some of these files would end up being >500MB. Probably still used quite a lot field work I imagine.
Only moved there 2 years ago and a bit tired of having to keep hopping about. Is it really that hard to find a good all in one solution where the CEO isn't a total clown? Having mail, drive and docs all working together is the most important setup for me until I can find an alternative.
I don't even understand why they have gone so full in on AI, I really don't think feature development is the blocker for getting more users.

I can highly recommend the book "Humanly Possible: 700 years of humanist freethinking, inquiry, and hope" by Sarah Bakewell if you wanted a nice overview; although it's a lot of content it's also quite light and you can dip in and out :)
You can be a Humanist as well as an Atheist don't worry pal.

Also from southern UK and we called it knock down ginger. Looked it up and found this:

Where ginger is to move "gingerly" i.e. cautiously or carefully. Can't comment on how valid that is but that website says the term has been in use since the 19th century.
