I played it on the GameCube at the time and didn't get softlocked, but also put in so much time to play it after seeing Matrix Reloaded to get some of the context with the intercut scenes. It was an interesting concept for a video game, I wonder if nowadays this could be better pulled off.

Reminds me of 2020 election when in some states, Trump was urging the election officials to stop counting ballots, meanwhile urging other states to keep count every ballot.

I think the apartment number was 195 and that became popular, but the original creator shut it down after the popularity and hassle of moding it, so then people just added 1 and that's how 196 was created
