Interesting. I went landscape and zoomed a bit and I could kind of start to see the outlines of a shape (I assume it's supposed to be a romulan warship) but whenever my fingers entered my field of focus it ruined the illusion. Maybe I should open this on my PC when I get home

You can turn off the most punishing aspects of the parry system if you just want to experience the story. It's legit one of the most moving and engaging stories I've ever seen in a video game so if your only complaint is the difficulty it gives you an easy solution in the settings. I found it hard but worth learning, but you can make it much less intense if you want.

I never stopped listening to whole albums, from childhood with tapes and CDs, through the filesharing days and into streaming services.

I still let the algorithm take the wheel and auto play after the album finishes, and sometimes I use generated playlists and such, especially when I'm playing music in a group setting. But for my own listening pleasure it's full albums 95% of the time.

I still rate music in terms of albums as well. If I only like one or a few songs, it's just an ok album, even if I really like those songs.

I find that the artists who care to make coherent albums tend to be ones who make better music in general, but maybe that's just confirmation bias.

This made me laugh for two reasons: first, because fuck him and I hope he burns in hell; second, because just a day before I said to a friend, "Mitch McConnell is as alive as Lindsay Graham is straight."

    Sometimes the universe just delivers

Generally speaking, in states where the tipped minimum wage is lower than the standard, the employer is required to pay the difference if the tips do not meet that minimum. It's a fucked practice, but that's how they justify it.

I have my concerns about UBI but I think it's likely going to become necessary in the near future. In time it will probably run into the same problems of minimum wage increases, where the CoL goes up and up as the income floor is raised meaning that being near the floor feels the same no matter how big the number is.

But despite my concerns, at this point I'll take it 😅
