Well you'd only have a knife based on the post, so you'd have to throw it and retrieve it, and it wouldnt stay sharp forever. These are all issues with a spear too. I'm sure a T-Rex could out run you as well. Best bet might be to conserve energy and hope the dinosaur starves first.

The real problem is we dont know what a live T-Rex looks like. It could have fur or feathers, it could have wings or wild talons on its hands. What are the odds their arms are as useless as we think they are for real?
