Dang, that's like one of the only episodes I remember seeing lol. I didn't recognize the episode from the picture, but as soon as you mentioned dropping the "nasal voice", I remembered the scene. Probably because I had never realized before then, that (of course) her signature voice was a caricature

Yes, because that's what's important right now. Not like this hasn't been a thing for 20+ years or anything... but let's tackle this bullshit now

Nothing better to do I guess; at least nothing better to report without risking frivolous lawsuits. LAWSUITS, LAWSUITS, LAWSUITS, FOR EVERYONE

"Delay, deny, defend". A weaponized justice system in-action

Oh I know exactly where you're coming from, and it's not a stupid fear (to me at least). It seems to be quite common; some of us are just a little more sensitive of those fears or think about it more?

It's my own personal thing to stare at the things that scare me. I fucking hate being scared of the dark

Story Time: I was a toddler and my parents took me to a fireworks show. I had an absolute meltdown as they tried to get me out of the car, because the explosions scared the shit out of me. They pretended they would leave me in the car, and I didn't give a fuck, I was scared and would happily stay there. So they pulled me out and carried me into the bleachers so we could watch (it's supposed to be fun)

So I sat at the show, and I had my hands clamped against my ears, trying to escape the noise. My dad pried my hands off of my ears as fireworks were exploding.... and I absolutely loved how loud and bright it was. The scary booms became delightful, and I loved it. It still sticks with me, how much I was about to miss because it was scary to me (and loud)

Though it does sound like my dad was being a dick (cause it was assholish)... I'm glad he got me to take a look that night, through hell or high water. It's helped me to sit with a lot of "loud noises" throughout my life

I peel a little and then dig my thumb into the seam. I used to use a spoon, but it was too unpredictable. I used to be afraid that it would somehow hurt my thumb, but it just pops with a little poof of air and some noise. It was a hard fear to overcome, but fuck those biscuit cans, I'll bite them bitches open now! (Not really bite though, that's too much)

The picture isn't mine, I just grabbed an example of a balearic sling. But I got a bullseye today and then walked away, letting it be my last throw. It felt damn good, not gonna lie

I also mowed, trimmed the shrubs, ran some errands, and yadda yadda. But that perfect sling was the highlight of my day

Also got my legs tore up by mosquitoes, so bug spray will now be a must. But at least I remembered sunscreen! Little wins today

My wife is looking for an app that helps her save information from brainstorming, and is visually helpful. Most times, she's using her phone to search out her ideas and save them (pdf's, links, text, pictures) on her iphone's "Freeform app", but wants to be able to open it on our computer for more "in-depth refining"

I'm looking at maybe "Miro" but don't know anything about it. Wondering if anyone has any other suggestions or more elegant solutions

A notebook and pen is always a thing she uses, but it's not as streamlined. I appreciate any ideas, or if there's a better community to ask this in

Specifically, as in having memories from being younger than 3 years old and even further

I orient myself's own timeline upon some early-childhood memories, but some people have questioned it as false memory... which, understandable

But I can draw the layout of every house I've lived in, who's room was who's, where furniture was, certain events (like having gum melt in my diaper, crying in my crib about not trick-or-treating, seeing my first "flying-leaf" insect) and a lot of other random tidbits

A lot of it I've been able to confirm as true, which is what has always intrigued me. How far back is average? I think the furthest I can grasp is around 2 years old or maybe a little less

Maybe some of it has to do with trauma-ish things or something? But I can literally remember the potpourri on my mom's dresser when she was holding me, who was at my 3rd birthday... and just, kinda far back

What's everyone else's memory like here? I feel like my early pre-teens was kinda a blur, but my early childhood seems more vibrant sometimes. I dunno, I was just curious
