Mmhmm. Thanks for the ad.

My favorite part is Auth0 is the sponsor of Passport.js, you guessed it, an Open Source identity management library. And they play a big role at places like IETF where standards are actually written.

Do you have a lot of details on the transaction and communication? It's usually people like yourself who trigger videos from GamersNexus and Louis. Just need to reach out to their inbound requests email. They are always looking for co tent like this.

I bought a 16G for a project shortly after they came out on sale at Microcenter. It's sitting in a closet right now, and it makes me feel bad that it's not in use. I have Pi3Bs deployed everywhere, but no need for this monstrosity. Today.

Amazing how many people go straight to personall hygiene. Guy prob has a bad diet and terrible gas due to it. That gets embedded in foam over time. Should have bought a mesh chair.

    Hi all,

We're looking to get off Rackspace's email as the Spam filtering is pure garbage. We're going to avoid the Googles and MS's of the world, and I'm wondering if this community has suggestions for mail providers that run FOSS services (and are public about that via support), and/or are privacy focused. Note: Proton is a no-go due to having to run an IMAP middle-man service.

    Thanks!

    Instant boot Linux? (lemmy.world)

    Hi all,

Is there a method out there that can "save a hibernate state" to disk, and just permanently boot immediately into that state every time?

It would be OK to lose data used after this point. And ot would also be OK if it required building a custom image based on the hardware, similar to embedded systems.

The goal is to be able to, as quickly as possible, spin up a GPU server when needed, but without using suspend/resume.

    Thanks.

Yea, so this doesn't exist, but should it?

    Think about:

    • TheMovieDB style identifiers with box art
    • Auto-generated and/or community created and upvoted DVD labels, case inserts, or USB/SSD stickers you can print yourself (no reason physical media has to be "round")
    • Automated scripts for generating local media savers/installers from GOG and Steam

This doesn't seem like a very difficult thing to create for the niche community of people that want physical copies.

Hi all, I've got an interesting requirement of storing 2 bikes inside a van with easy access. My idea is to use a Super High roof, and instead of the classic elevator bed that you can walk under, I want to do a raised floor with the bed hidden in the floor towards the cab, and the sitting/lounge area above it. Attached is a render of an initial idea, the bed being blue (and in the floor) in the render.

This means with a standard height kitchen counter in the back of the van, plus the 6" raised floor underneath, we get enough height under the counter to put the bikes. It also means a full ceiling for fans where we want them, room for recirculating shower in the kitchen, and other under-floor storage for heavy things like batteries.

The challenge is the bed, as with that large of an area, a cover would flex and dip when standing in the middle, and there won't be a lot of height to put cross beams if I want a 6" mattress. I'd also ideally want a way to "raise" the bed, but that's secondary.

Anyone have ideas for this kind of build? Also, any thoughts on if the Super High Roof narrows more at the top than a High Roof? I haven't seen one in person yet.
