my siblings and I ended up getting some space motifs from my mom. My sister is her sun, my brother is her moon and I'm her stars. As a woman than makes me a sun child

can't believe you're getting down voted man. I was raised in a household so averse to lateness we'd set our clocks ahead to give the illusion that we're late. It really isn't that hard to just give yourself extra time so you can arrive a bit earlier if everything goes right. And by 'bit' I do mean like a half hour to an hour. Not that insane 'a day early' bs someone else spouted.

I refuse to think that a layperson has their day so heavily packed they can't even afford half an hour of 'contingency time'

when I finally get hunkered down and write the novel I've been trying to get out of my brain for nearly a decade, I actually feel a little bit of hope getting it out in an environment like this. I'm always super harsh on myself, but I mean it's pretty hard to twist 'hey I wrote this book with my own thoughts! no llm needed!' in a bad way

yeah I wanted to get more space but I ultimately chose to just upgrade from 16 to 32 GB ram finally. I have a decent amount of storage already, I'm just a blooming data hoarder so I've had to fanagle files around

Sorry for the weird question, don't know how else to word it. Basically I'm job hunting and I'm realizing the dress code is gonna be an obstacle.

I exclusively wear skirts and dresses. Not for a religion -- I'm agnostic -- but for sensory reasons. I hate pants. I hate how they feel on my legs and I haven't worn them in almost 10 years now. I understand the need to wear pants for some jobs because they're ultimately safer than a flowy skirt, but one of the jobs I've applied to is a bank. I doubt the building is a skirt deathtrap behind the scenes.

Honestly the idea of having to wear pants is so upsetting I'm breaking down over it. It's so stupid but after I finally found a way to feel comfortable when I started wearing skirts, I don't think I can go back even if the job is better than my current one.

My only idea is to get some kind of doctors note but even that seems unlikely. Hoping for other ideas here.
