Babbitt, 35, was an Air Force veteran a domestic terrorist who was fatally shot heroically stopped by Capitol police while protesting participating in a violent seige of the capital insighted by Donald Trump the felon, and child rapist, after his defeat in the 2020 presidential election.

The media needs to stop sugar coating the events of Jan. 6.

So, what? Are they going to exhume her traitor ass and then rebury it? Or did her traitor family just keep her traitor carcass on ice for the last 4 years? Either way, fucking disgusting.

If they were a veteran, I'm surprised they didn't do it at her funeral in January of 2021... I get that a lot of People wouldn't have liked it, but were they denied the military burial then as a veteran?

  • Its 2025, the person who had them fake electors is in the White House leading the executive branch. Whether or not that person was a terrible person, and "broke their oath" there was no guilty conviction brought upon them.

They weren't found guilty of insurrection, had no weapons on their person. They weren't guilty of physically assaulting/killing one of the guards. So the worst possible conviction she could have got was conspiracy of sedition. Which was only brought on 12 people. All 12 were members of the Proud Boys/Oath Keepers. She was not. Meaning they wouldn't have brought those charges against her because they didn't think they would stick.

So whether or not I believe they should have just fired warning shots then gunned down everyone who attempted to enter the building, whether or not I think she she broke her oath, wouldn't have mattered.

If anything the very last possibility of her not receiving them was removed when Trump pardoned them all in January.

I'll settle for head on a pike. So I can look up into her lifeless eyes and wave, like this:

Exactly. The convicted felon in the WH pardoned all of the Jan 6 terrorists, oops, I mean, "rioters".

    And now this.

Whoever wrote that headline probably thought they were being "fair" to call them "rioters". I mean, insurrectionist is the compromise, but terrorist is far more appropriate.

Terrorism: The use of violence or the threat of violence, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political goals.

This is EXACTLY what these "protesters" were up to.

It never did when people give up on the concept of truth that is independent of individual experience.

I think it started a few decades ago. My stepdad insisted on being buried in a national military cemetery.

He was stationed in Germany during the army and loved it. He only had good or fun stories to tell about his time in the military in the early 1960s.

He met a conservative German woman, brought her home, married her. Kinda learned to think Hitler wasn’t all bad through her and her family. He got a job because of his military service, which paid him well and gave him a pension when he retired.

He loved Trump, starting with the birther conspiracies and carrying through The Apprentice. I’ve never seen him happier than when Trump won.

He insisted on being buried in a national military cemetery because of his 4 years of international vacation fixing trucks.

    ——

Meanwhile, the previous generation of my own family lived through the Great Depression and fought in world war 2, and they’re buried with their families.

It’s a different kind of stolen valor.

After attacking the capitol, in direct violation of the oath she swore to defend the country and constitution, what she should be given is a posthumous dishonorable discharge. This is fucking disgusting.

Go ahead. She still died gurgling through a hole in her neck. Surrounded by a bunch of neckbeard traitors filming her for internet points.

    That's all I care about.

This only shames the military, which I'm also alright with.

Haven't they already buried this bitch? She's been dead for nearly half a decade.

They really going to dig her up and give her another funeral or something?

This country is chock full of performative fucking idiots.

They should also write a heroic ballad about her to the tune of the Horst Wessel Lied and make it the official anthem of the Republican Party.

I guess this community doesn't like links to the likes of blogs for top-level stories, but I'll put this link here. Wonkette is actually very good at pulling together lots of relevant links and so on. I happen to loooove the snarky commentary they use as well, although I realize that's not everyone's cuppa.

Though I think we can all agree what she was doing was inappropriate climbing through that window, it's also pretty easy to say that she shouldn't have been killed by the police and it's nice to see someone honored for their duty outside of the one event that caused her death.
