The White House and Department of Justice have reportedly been discussing potentially throwing journalists in jail to reveal the identities of leakers and fresh White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller is behind the plan.

In an Atlantic report about the exit of Susie Wiles from her chief of staff role at the White House, it was revealed that a plan to jail journalists is in consideration in the administration. Wiles reportedly pushed back on such a plan while Miller gave it his endorsement.

According to the report, which cites multiple people familiar with the situation, Donald Trump has been pressing the DOJ to pursue criminal cases against people who leak information to the media on “national security grounds.” Various “tactics” have been discussed, including arresting journalists to push them into revealing their sources.

If he needs the ballroom for the bunker under it to do that. Let him have it.

Let's be fiscally responsible here: Just tell him it's done and put him in a small room with no windows. Much cheaper.

What they should have done was just put him in a fake oval office instead of letting him be president

Maybe set up an ironic fake "Faux News" to keep him occupied. I hear there's some thespians previously attached to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts that might be looking for work.

And make him pay for the initial demolition, the tear down, and the rebuild. And then fine him a few billion on top of it.

He won't need the money, he'll be in prison. So will anyone who would be inheriting it. Sorry Trump grandkids. Better get a paper route and start saving for college.

Old man time has his hands around this bitch's throat already, he will be gone before it's completed anyway. He's already gone mentally, he was bad before, but now he's just a stark raving cunt.

The (clown) show must go on! Sorry, no, this landfill fire needs to burn out. Oh yeah, did I mention it's that landfill the air force dumped their nuclear waste in and now can't find? Yeah, it's not great.

Miller “was in favor and insisted that it wouldn’t take long for journalists to give up their sources.”

The fuck is this shit. I'm hoping people just refuse this lame duck pos and throw him in jail

How about they arrest child molesters who worked with Epstein?

  • source
  • hideshow 2 child comments
  • [–] 3 points 9 hours ago (1 child)

ah. so. problem with that. do you know anything, a single fact, about law makers, judges, or cops?

if you do, you'll understand why none of them are in board with that.

going after the Epstein list seriously would necessarily be a violent revolution. the entire state and system of capital would be dismantled.

Lol why are we calling journalist reporting "leaks."

Have they thought about arresting those people inside their own organisation who leaked the information in the first place? Like e.g. JD Vance recently?

  • source
  • hideshow 2 child comments
  • [–] 12 points 7 hours ago

Exactly. It's not like there are hordes of flaming liberals with access to the "leaked" information.

The calls to the reporters came from inside the house, and were made by very unhappy Rs. There are literally no other possible suspects.

    Lol...

The day they arrest the first journo trump will be impeached and convicted.

All those fucking sources are Republicans. And Dems only need like 5 Republican Senators to convict in the Senate. They'll get rid of trump to save themselves from trump in a heartbeat

Maybe he's doing it just to get JD on the big boy chair? That way he can try to start pivoting the party back to the middle before 2028.

Ok but he has the charisma of a soggy gym sock. I don’t personally understand Trump’s charisma but I can’t deny it exists.

I do t think the Make America a Soggy Gym Sock thing is going to get very far.

And Dems only need like 5 Republican Senators to convict in the Senate.

This is incorrect. They need 5 Republicans to cross the aisle to overcome a veto, but for an impeachment the constitution states that the Senate requires a two thirds majority to convict. That would be 67 votes. If the Democrats end up with 55 seats, then that means at least 12 Republicans would have to vote to convict. That is a big ask from the party of big corruption.

There's a video of Raskin and that eye-patch wearing traitor Crenshaw arguing, and when Raskin mentioned impeachment, Crenshaw rolled his eye, and scoffed that they'd need 60 votes, but then he got a sudden expression like he realized they only needed 5 votes to cross the aisle, and that shouldn't be too hard, especially when many are going to try to demonstrate their distance from Trump. Getting reelected in 2028 is going to rely on proving that you weren't fully behind Trump.

Imagine if the impeachment vote in the Senate was a tie, and JD Vance had to vote to break the tie?

With all the spying apparatus, back doors, and data centers they have running, they still can't ID sources? As someone who paranoically runs Graphene OS and avoids Facebook and Google, this is actually kind of disappointing.

MAGA knows they can't allow elections in 2028, or they are all going to prison, and very possibly worse. Nobody understands this more than PeeWee Himmler. He is willing to do the worst things imaginable to American Citizens, and Trump has known this all along, that's why he has kept PeeWee Himmler close since 2015. This is his Scorched Earth General, the guy to bring in at the end when the situation is desperate. He will gleefully unleash unspeakable violence and cruelty upon millions of his fellow citizens. He has been dreaming about it all his life.

America is in the hands of a genuine madman, and it's going to be a wild bumpy ride for the next two years, and extremely dangerous. Remain alert, Citizens.

America is in the hands of a genuine madman

This is why we need to use Trump's ego against him. Draft up a bill to enact medicare for all, restrictions on ICE and a bunch of ther things, but add in Trump's arch and a provision to convert Stone Mountain to a Bust of Trump and name it the "Trump is the greatest president ever" bill. Then tell Trump, "This is how you destroy Obamacare and eliminate all of Obama's accomplishments".

    I bet he'd sign it.
