Not sarcasm. That’s terrible that the work they thought would abide by the new laws is being taken down.

Your comment was... vague, to say the least. It's the kind of comment someone who wants to say more things that they know most would disagree with would leave. It felt like bait by a troll.

As such, I'd suggest trying to make your intended meaning more clear going forward.

Just because you read sarcasm where there was none doesn’t mean I need to adjust my comments. Rude.

I clarified that I was not being sarcastic.

I was being honest. It’s terrible that the government is taking down their work and making it more difficult for them to make a living.

What's "rude" is being dismissive of constructive criticism offered in good faith. I did not attack your personally, but merely pointed out how easily your vague comment could be misinterpreted & suggested trying to avoid that in the future.

But, then I guess I should have known better - this being the Internet & all. Good day.

What's also rude is doubling down on wanting to call others "bottoms' in derogatory manners and claiming it's not homophobic.

You were nitpicking at me for a reason.

WTF are you on about? This complete non-sequitur is an utterly bizarre accusation.

I'm aware that there's currently a witch hunt directed at me going on and I remember your username from the other day.

I'm unaware of such, and would not participate in such. Your paranoia is drawing in innocent victims, apparently. I'm sorry you're going through that, but that doesn't justify you leaping to baseless accusations just because you remember my username.

I'll grant we've had disagreements before due to similar reactions on your part, but I always try to be respectful of others when they've done nothing wrong, and I try to treat each interaction as a new opportunity to communicate & understand one another. From previous interactions, I'd expect that to be an attitude you'd appreciate.

Scolding me for not writing comments the way you prefer is respectful? Sure.

It's not paranoia when I am receiving said messages and comments, but thanks for trying to paint me as unreliable.

You painted yourself. All I did was demonstrate how your overly vague comment could be misinterpreted. You're the one taking this to absurd levels & accusations. Seems like a pretty reasonable interpretation to consider it a bit over the top paranoia (and - in your wording - "painting {yourself} as unreliable").

You assumed I was being sarcastic and when you got called out for it, you blamed me for how I write my comments.

I suppose that's one interpretation. Another is what I've already said. Since you're supposedly under some sort of "attack" (something I must note I now find questionable considering the excessive paranoia you've demonstrated over this simple misunderstanding), I'd normally write this absurd argument off as just "someone having a bad day."

Seeing as how we've had this type of discussion before, however, I think your unwillingness to look at your own errors in judgment - such as your ridiculous accusation - in a fair manner speaks for itself. You haven't even apologized for lobbing such an explosive accusation, yet continue to attack me & try to pin blame on me.

Considering all this, I'm done wasting my time here. Goodbye.

So calling a genocide a genocide and pictures of oral sex are illegal in the UK, but genocide and far-right nationalists are okie-dokie?

I don't have a strong opinion on this, since I'm so detached from the whole thing. Isn't that literally the point? If sex work is banned, then people who worked in that industry can't keep making a living in that industry. So?

Equivalent to "gun shop workers can't make a living anymore after firearms ban". No shit.

Sex work is still legal in the UK.

This is like the government banning "topless nudity" and waking up to find a site has deleted any pictures showing exposed shoulders.

Cocaine is banned, so nobody makes a living in that industry, right?

Not legally, no. And if the government/police starts really cracking down on cocaine dealers, would you feel bad for the 'honest, hard-working' drug dealers who just can't make a living in this industry anymore?

what a braindead take. you actually just skipped history entirely didnt you? look up prohibition for a summary of what happens when you try to make anything people are motivated to do illegal. literally all it accomplishes is wasting a fuck load of government money, handing money and power to drug dealers, and getting a ton of people hurt. the harder you try to enforce it the more money and power you hand to people willing to break the law to meet the demand and the more money and effort you waste.

This is a tough one. I’m very supportive of the sex trade on a conceptual level. You got trunk junk, you need money, junk sale. BUT…. I’m very much against a society where a person feels their only option is to sell their body for money, video or irl.

So fuck censorship, and fuck content moderation, but also fuck the government and the voters for not making the utopia that would be soooooo easy to make.

I mean, that applies to most jobs though. Why should anyone feel they need to work hours on end just to live and make some rich guy, richer! 😎

So if I thought I could make a living off showing someone my junk I’d wouldn’t say no. But I guess thats easy to say when you have a horrible body that no-one would pay to see, lol! 😳

But then I think that about everything… if you’re doing it on your own freewill rather than coercion who cares what anyone does with their own life!
