A federal immigration agent who drove into and seriously injured a Texas man on 10 October after a botched traffic stop was indicted Friday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Mario Alberto Morales, 33, an agent with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), deliberately veered his SUV into Miguel Parra Hernandez, 48, causing multiple leg fractures and a hip injury, journalists at a news conference in Houstonwere told.

In announcing the charge against Morales, Harris county district attorney Sean Teare questioned the training that Morales, a recent appointment by ICE, had received – and denounced the activities and conduct of the agency in support of the frequently violent immigration crackdown during Donald Trump’s second presidency.

It's insane the guy Mario hit with his car is still in a holding cell but he's apparently not

The only surprising part is the ICE agent is being charged

If he’s convicted and jailed (and that’s an if the size of the universe), trump will pardon him.

    Trump can't pardon state convictions.

Obviously Hernandez used the ICE vehicle as a weapon and rammed himself into it

An ICE badge does not give you free rein to injure, kill, or violate the constitutional rights of anyone.

    Sure seems like it does.

    You're absolutely a doomer.

You can deny the label all you want, but we can all see you plainly out here telling us all that there is no justice and there is no hope. You are by definition, a doomer. Sucks to suck. The evidence is literally in this comment thread. Ain't no disowning it.

Your exact message is a message fascists WANT DESPERATELY for you to echo. And they thank you dearly for your service to their cause.

Tagged as loser doomer fascist lover.

Your example is A) German police investigating a suspected concentration camp guard, and B) only an investigation. It's an example of the German police being persistent, full points there. But even then it is not justice. It is only an investigation. Do you have an example of American justice, and I mean actual justice, like an ICE agent actually being sentenced and sent to jail for their violent crimes?

How many people have been murdered by out of control ICE agents? How many ICE agents are in jail for their crimes? It has been almost ten months since Renee Good was murdered on January 7th by an ICE agent. A crime recorded on video. Where is her murderer, Jonathan Ross? No one knows for sure because ICE is hiding him, but according to then New York Governor Hochul, he was given a 3-day suspension and then reinstated in New York.

What about Alex Pretti's ICE agent murderer? A crime also committed on video. Alex was also murdered January of this year. Your guess about his location is as good as mine because Homeland Security has kept even his identity secret. You can bet he is still on the job for ICE and has been steadily violating people's rights the whole time.

At this point in history, the tragic truth is that American justice is neither persistent nor swift.

Brown ice won't be protected like the white ones.

Surely the Hispanic ice didn't think that they would be protected from accountability?

    Surely.

It's the same train of thought as Republican women. They think because they are joining the Republicans, they will get treated better as the ones that didn't. The joke is on them. They will suffer the same. Thankfully, a lot of Hispanics realized they fucked up voting for Trump, now that ICE is harassing them. It sucks that everyone else has to suffer for these idiots to learn their lesson though

Not really. There will always be people willing to betray their class/race/group for the promise of a little taste of power.

Just because a person is a member of an oppressed group doesn’t mean they’re not a piece of shit. Just take Peter Thiel for example. He’s a gay man, and he’s probably the most evil person alive.

My 1st gen immigrant parents are the same way. They are struggling financially, and believe that deporting immigrants will make life cheaper because there’d be more resources available.

These people are hopelessly undereducated and will die believing the most heinous shit.

‘I am a stranger and an alien residing among you; give me property among you for a burying place, so that I may bury my dead out of my sight.’ Genesis 23:4

“You shall not oppress a sojourner. You know the heart of a sojourner, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt." Exodus 23:9 (ESV)

You shall also love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. Deuteronomy 10:19

“When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. 34 You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God." Leviticus 19:33-34 (ESV)

‘Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow.’ Then all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ Deuteronomy 27:19 (NIV)

When they were few in number, of little account, and strangers in the land, wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people, he allowed no one to oppress them; he rebuked kings on their account, saying, ‘Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.’ 1 Chronicles 16:19-22

I was eyes to the blind, and feet to the lame. I was a father to the needy, and I championed the cause of the stranger. I broke the fangs of the unrighteous, and made them drop their prey from their teeth. Job 29:15-17

The Lord watches over the strangers; he upholds the orphan and the widow, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. Psalm146:9

For if you truly amend your ways and your doings, if you truly act justly one with another, if you do not oppress the alien, the orphan, and the widow, or shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not go after other gods to your own hurt, then I will dwell with you in this place, in the land that I gave of old to your ancestors forever and ever. Jeremiah 7:5-7

You shall allot it as an inheritance for yourselves and for the aliens who reside among you and have begotten children among you. They shall be to you as citizens of Israel; with you they shall be allotted an inheritance among the tribes of Israel. Ezekiel 47:22

Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another; do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another. Zechariah 7:9-10

You have heard that it was said, ‘you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy’. But I say to you, love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you. Matthew 5:43-44

I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. Matthew 25:35

Truly I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of my brethren you did it to me. Matthew 25:40

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10:27

Then Peter began to speak to them: “I truly understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him. Acts 10:34

Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers. Romans 12:13

Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8

Love does no wrong to a neighbor, therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Romans 13:10

In that renewal there is no longer Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all. Colossians 3:11

Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them; those who are being tortured, as though you yourselves were being tortured. Hebrews 13:1-3

Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the friends, even though they are strangers to you; they have testified to your love before the church. You do well to send them on in a manner worthy of God; for they began their journey for the sake of Christ, accepting no support from non-believers. Therefore we ought to support such people, so that they may become co-workers with the truth. 3 John 1:5-8

Not really. Ever notice how every demographic poll asks you what race you are, then asks again if you are Hispanic?

That's because a large number of Hispanics identify as white, and you have to ask twice if you actually want to know how many Hispanics answered your poll.

Unsurprisingly, many are white supremacists, and actual white people will exploit that when convenient.

That's what he gets for not using his gun. Shooting a guy is All American, damaging your truck by smashing it into a fleeing person is decidedly un-American, ESPECIALLY when you have a GUN on your hip. It's just disrespectful to the great American auto industry, and American Car Culture.

This is AMERICA, it's actually illegal to NOT use your gun. If he had used his gun and shot him, there would be no legal issue.

These ICE Apes are not our best and brightest.

    The easiest investigation ever...

They do their own payroll and report to the IRS with specific employer codes like every other agency. The ones out doing stops or working in camps will have a bunch of overtime, likely hazard pay, and special retirement deductions due to not being behind a desk.

There was never any way for them to be anonymous like the media pretended.

Then you just press all of them at once. Send FBI agents to every fucking door, with only one question:

Do you have anything you want to tell us?

They'll be tripping over each other to snitch on the worst to save themselves, and the worst will snitch on everyone else out of spite if nothing less.

Especially considering how documented their actions were, we don't need to trust their stories, just identify themselves and the other people on video with them.

Shits not complicated, we just need people who want to try
