My wife thinks I'm the only person who would even think that.

She's a Buff Orpington, and all of our other hens have pun names like "Annie Yolkly", "Stevie Chicks", "Ruth Bader Ginsbird", "Princess Layer", etc...which makes it even worse.

I'm not seeing the issue here. Could you explain why you think it's inappropriate?
