Yep, it is just shy of 99% in the US. For some specific farm animal it's even upwards of 99.9%

Towards Portland and Seattle, the Democratic party Promised Land. I hear they let homeless people ramble about free range, gay people are allowed anywhere, and they have a preference for independently produced music over major labels. The Wild West of leftist debauchery and godlessness.
I assume Democratic party arrows point left to align with the simple left/right political binary.
We so face away from Florida.
Why are all the democrats blowing to the north west?
That first bar seems to be close to 100% factory farms in the US, isn't it?
That is some genuinely nicely presented data. Simple and effective.
my anecdotal take on genz leaves me w the impression that they're bigger prudes than previous generations -- so this must be a unique subgroup of genz that actually likes sex enough to pursue it. :p
Some highlights of mine
2,373 Adults aged 18-29
74% of singles report a moderate to very high sexual drive
66% of singles cite limited opportunities to meet partners
36% have not masturbated in the last three months
29.4% of men haven't masturbated in the past 3 months, while 30% have masturbated every day (42-16 for women)
Entry-level jobs are down 35 percent. Cocktails are $30. Romance is the collateral damage.
They have the desire. They just don’t have the nerve, privacy or money to act on it.
Singles account to 1249 of respondents
I actually managed to run back into something similar that I had seen previously

jeez, that's a good answer. Thanks. I'd like to be flexible in size of dataset, though I don't know what I'll need yet. I expect I'll want latex. I don't know the difference between raytraced and mesh.
- Really useful to know c/c++ is a no-go.
- Do I want to support browser? Don't know yet
- I'm surprised you say there's no good 3D. I believed plotly was fine for 3D. Maybe we're talking about different levels of 3D
I would like to stick to one language - python or js but not both
if you're writing your own API, I would recommend picking something very low level and established as a backend, otherwise limitations and thus hacky solutions will ruin it quickly. i'd say, there are several bottlenecks to consider before diving into any of options:
- do you need latex?
- how large of datasets are you planning to plot?
- for 3d, do you need raytraced volume rendering, or will meshes be enough?
based on those, i'd recommend the following.
- drop c/c++ -- it's gonna be too much effort for too little advantage. there are no well-established and properly maintained plotting packages in c/c++ (implot comes close, but is very limited and often slow).
- if you need to run the library in a browser (webapp), look into d3js for frontend (i.e. building the axes, putting ticks etc), and a flask-based python server for backend (to actually read the data and produce the heaviest plots). if you need latex, just use katex on the frontend.
- for heavy data vis, look into python dask and datashader libraries.
- for 3d, there is really no good solution, but vtk is close. volume rendering though would be tough, i would recommend looking into ospray or other stuff like that.
let me know if you need any more details on any of the mentioned things.
I could have sworn I saw stats on it for the US and it was similar, but I am not able to find. There are similar stats for things like vast majority of people in the US think cage-free means outside access (it does not)
Would be curious what this data would look like in the US - a lot of states have a fairly high number of small farms (I think a sizable portion of us have gone apple picking at least once in our life) while 99% of farm animals are factory farmed in the US
I suspect it would be a similar distortion since farms are so visible while factory farms are rather hidden from the public.
Plotly is pretty much all you need. It can create static plots like matplotlib, but it also has dynamic plus in which you can interact with your data, zoom in, rotate, etc. It is my favorite and I haven't come across anything better.
Ggplot2 is by far the best conceptually and syntactically. It makes you think in terms of visual mappings, which is an incredible framework for understanding data viz.
Seaborn is a decent equivalent on python, but it's more constrained by how python operates (which is a good and bad thing, R is a wild language)
I'm not looking for an environment (like, say, jupyter). Rather I'm writing something like maptplotlib, by wrapping something like maptplotlib in my own API
jupyter notebook + python + matplotlib is what I think you're looking for.
updated. Any clearer now?
I don't think I can use R
I don't know what that first line means, but I really like R studio for plots
way better
Only one man would dare to give me the raspberry...
Thank you for the reminder! Yes, I recall the law learned around two decades ago alongside the waveguides and reflectors.
And I'll try refreshing the knowledge with more time available.
you need to learn about inverse square law.
It's raspberry, sir.
This is accurate. RF burn sucks but you've got to be touching a powerful transmitter, and pray you're not wearing jewelry.
