reverse engineered code is just automatically slop, eh?

compare that to will smith eating spaghetti, or all the garbage ads that companies are putting out using AI.

Generalizing anything that AI touches as slop, is kind of . . . . disingenuous, no?

ehh, I don't care about politics, I care about performance and features. Mullvad lacks port forwarding, and the speed was always inconsistent for me.

Switched to windscribe, it's been solid so far.

Yeah, thing I learned is, adult responsibility aside, everyone is so immersed in their own life, writing a story that's old as they are. When we were young, there were so many more blank pages, so many new faces, so much less monotony, so much less disturbances. Even if we had the free time, would it really be the same?

So tired of being called "selfish" for trying to save money and live a healthier life.

What a does a car give you? The ability to say, "I've drive the whole family to here and there", but what does it ignore? The local fun, the local parks, the local spots to hangout and eat and have fun, the ability to take your family for a walk, go outside, enjoy the good days.

And I get called selfish, for wanting to be less wasteful, meanwhile driving causes spending thousands per year on just gas alone, to spew CO2 into the atmosphere, for the luxury of arriving at a parking lot 200km away from home just so we can boast about how much we do for others?

I'm just tired of it. And everyone I know is addicted or just so ingrained in motornormativity that I can't even relate to anyone, outside one or two people. It sucks even more that I'll be called a bad parent for not wanting my child to get roped into this mentality that the car is the saviour of humanity, that grants us some mystical ultimate freedom that can't obtained by other means.

I let my folks know that I'm getting rid of my drivers licence, because I don't plan on driving for at least the next 5 years.

My parents then said things like, "you're moving backwards in life", or "what will you do if you need to transport someone in an emergency?", to which I responded, "Taxi, or ambulance".

Am I a fool? Should I retain my licence for emergencies? I'm broke ATM, but should start working again soon, and my licence is expiring in a few weeks (and my wallet fell in a river a week ago, so I don't have the card anyways, not even kidding), so I'd rather not pay the $90 to keep it, if I don't have to.

What about you? Do you still keep a license handy for situations, or no? Is living car and license free possible in Canada?
