“Will have” being the important part. I wouldn’t put it past the GOP to try to seat as many judges as they can during the lame duck period, knowing it’s their last chance.
He’s remaining a Congressman, he’s just no longer looking to be in a leadership role within Congress. In parliamentary terms, he’s becoming a back bencher.
They’re not wrong. This has been the most so-nothing Congress I’ve seen in my lifetime. Whenever the House was faced with a tough vote, Johnson would put them on recess. Most of the problems we’re having are because Congress has just let the President do whatever he pleased.
He was only ahead by 43 votes three hours ago, so he’s starting to break away.
They brought the Gorn back in Strange New Worlds. They’re CGI horror movie monsters now, instead of a guy in a rubber suit fighting Kirk in broad daylight, which may or may not be your preference.

I had assumed with a “Rep.” prefix she was running for reelection. Didn’t realized she had tried for the Senate instead this cycle and had already crashed out of the race. Talk about a sore loser.
Of course, it’s way to late to replace her on the ballot, so she doesn’t suffer real consequences for two more years. I wish we had a way to recall federal elected officials.
